@believer2010ful, of course, just go and witness it. Or if you can't, just watch vlogs like this. The people are very kind and hospitable towards all foreigners.
Thank you, Joel, for uploading this video and sharing your experience of exploring this area. It is clear that you were trying Sudanese food for the first time, specifically the Sudanese peanut dish with spices, vegetables like tomatoes, onions, arugula, cheese, and sesame oil, commonly known as or "foul Mosllah or Mazboot ." As the way of eating foul was new to you, you tried to follow the lead of the Sudanese young man, who showed you the correct way-tearing small pieces of bread to scoop up and eat the foul. I was delighted that you introduced us to this Sudanese restaurant, where they prepare foul in the traditional Sudanese way, cooking it in a special pot called a "Gidra," which ensures perfect doneness and keeps it warm. The chef then adds spices, vegetables, and grated cheese to taste, finishing it off with a drizzle of sesame oil from a bottle with small holes in the cap for controlled pouring. It is fascinating that they even offer "Fatta" in this restaurant, a traditional dish where pieces of bread are placed in a bowl, topped with foul broth, whole foul beans, spices, vegetables, and a drizzle of oil. It is meant to be savored and eaten with your hands or a spoon. Thank you again for sharing!
Well explained. I hope he reads your comment. Very informative about the food. How it is made and how you eat it. I wished I had been there so I could have explained it to him. He very polite and humbled person.
