Not for nothing was he called the 'Mehfil Ka Baadshah'. The audience musy have been eating out of his hands during such an enjoyable recital. I feel Nazrul's 'kuhu kuhu koyeliya' (rendered by S D Burman) is a tribute to this magnificent Bandish Ki Thumri.
