Rich Savage yes they are. High fever can lead to fainting depending on the individual. In fact there have been numerous documented cases of people fainting. Fainting isn’t in itself a symptom, but if his health is so bad he’s fainting - that isn’t good.
Also consider Sean lives in New York. Literally the new epicenter of the virus in the whole world. And suddenly 2 weeks ago right at the peak of it spreading he just “doesn’t feel well”.
A normal person wouldn’t be vague about their illness. They would say “I have a cold or flu, don’t worry guys it’s not corona”.
Or “I’ve talked to a doctor and the symptoms don’t really line up. But out of precaution I’m staying in”.
But instead he specifically goes with “I haven’t been feeling well lately. I’ve been in touch with a physician”. Then he goes on to describe him literally fainting twice due to his body being weak.
Also notice how he buries the lead with this information. Pretty sure he has it but doesn’t want to flat out say it - as it would be bad PR to be the most popular interviewer right now, who is infected. We don’t even know the last time he shot and episode with a celebrity. We don’t know the last time he’s mingled with famous people. He doesn’t want the news running that information.

It’s no secret he’s the most popular interviewer in the US right now. This is kind of a big deal that he has the virus.
as a dood who has fainted many times before. the trick is when you feel the blood rush when stood up is to get yourself sat on the ground almost straight away. always helped me to just sit down when i felt "the dizzys" coming.
I’m going through and watching every single Hot Ones episode, which is how I ended up here. When Sean said “one day this will be a memory” it made me feel so grateful for how far we’ve come since the pandemic started and this video was posted. I never want to take normal life for granted again.

I did that fainty thing during a piss once one morning after a hard night of drinking at my friend's house. I just rapidly lost energy for body and fell, taking the door-mounted mirror down with me. I regained full consciousness immediately after. I heard/felt all the glass come down in a very muffled state - didn't completely black out. I just had no energy for a little bit and after a couple big glasses of water, I was alright. I'm a bit more keen to it now. If you ever feel like youre getting light-headed, I kinda lower myself and hold onto something to control a fall but it's never happened again.

Listening to Sean about "violently fainting" has been the most exciting thing yet for me during quarantine
I love how he tells a story of him almost dying like a movie plot.
I couldn't reply to the pinned post about "Which Hot Ones episodes top your list to re-watch during quarantine?..." So, here is my response.
My top 3 would absolutely be Gordon Ramsay, Shia Labeouf, and most recently, Zach Efron. I was completely blown away by Zach's demeanor and attitude towards you, as well as the scenarios being thrown at him throughout the conversation (not to mention how he handled AND EXCEEDED every wing challenge with ease!). I can't say enough how much your interview with Zach affected me in a positive way, even without myself being a fan of him from his movies and whatnot. I just have to say, what an amazing set of videos you produce; i truly appreciate you, Sean (to which, I have to mention I am too, named Sean), and all the serious effort you put into making this channel what it is. To get the full trip, to get the full psychological changes, it needs to be much much closer and have time for the brain to react to that and think it over. People have accidents that were pretty close to fatal all the time, but that isn't a near death experience. What if someone shot a bullet one foot from your head. By your logic, that is near death. But you didn't get to see the light at the end of the tunnel. You didn't have your life flash before your eyes. You didn't have time to ponder whether you were already dead or not. That's what I call near death.
