You gotta love a long roof v8. Nice wagon with some killer mods. Well done Johnny on the vid too.
man id love to see all these cars on a good tyer/size for putting the power down and really see how they go :) sweet car and vid :)
4.11 with the 3 speed auto must rev its mounyin of down the freeway. Sweet rig.
I'm guessing it would sit at about 34OO-35OO rpm at 1OOkmh. Good thing it's not his daily with the cost of petrol.
Now thats a shaggin wagon 👍just needs a heartbeat strapped on it 🇦🇺🍻
Very nice. The red touches and the surf board really make it. Great car 🙂
Met the bloke who owns this at a meet in Hilary’s good to talk to. I’ve got myself a SS VY Wagon as well his definitely chops my stock wags
Hey, Ross! Another great review. That's a sick wagon. :)
Would be awesome to see you review an X100 XKR if you can get your hands on one.
Cheers 👍
What a mean SS Wagon & the owner is a cool dude, loved it as usual cheers brah.
Love to have that motor in my vx wagon 🤤, I'd have a smile on my face bro if I owned this 👌💪
@@RossReviewsau I bet it does, that motor is ridiculous, I'm old school I love the sound of the old 5, litres, but when ya put some work into these LS, they do sound good especially cammed as well
This car has been done nicely, and you don't hear of too many LQ9 swaps in Australia... I reckon the owner looks a bit like you, especially when you both have sunglasses on 😂
@@RossReviewsau You guys seriously look like brothers. Both happy, smiling, having fun in the VY SS wagon with nice mods. Love the Old School sound of a big cam, a built TH4OO with a big stall converter. Can't beat that sound. I reckon with drag radials on the back it could pull a low 5, or 4.9.💯. Nice video as always Johnny. I enjoyed it a lot.👍👍
I dont reckon in South AUS You have to take your car to take your car anywhere even if your rego runs out. it just matters if a coppa pulls you up and sees illegal done then they'll defect you
No monkey money scam roadworthy bs here.
Pick the car to drive, put 3 months rego on it. Let it lapse, drive another one. Re Register the other one again with 3 months rego when I feel like it.
Have 3 other cars under the 25 year old historic rego costing $90 for 90 days a year. Allows a big selection of cars in storage What's a roadworthy?
The way it should be. Y'all should be in the streets protesting your bs government scam.
Every state except NSW is sweet as long as you keep paying rego. One of my cars has been off the road for nearly 3 years and I keep paying rego because it's cheaper than letting it run out and then have to change everything back to standard to get a roadworthy again. Easier and cheaper to just keep paying the rego every year.💯
@@victorpeirce4753 Wrong. SA can let it expire and just re rego online. No road worthy scam here brah.
Nice 1 sounds good too phat vy
Seemed very sluggish - and the graph shows it really struggling to go forward. If it’s Wheel spin - time to get rid of the Chinese tyres and run decent higher profile semis slicks or softer compound tyres
def not helping with the simmons. if the drag tires were on it would be significantly better..
@MrTroytroy I agree... with 4.11s in the diff and a built TH4OO with a big converter, I thought it would be a lot quicker. It sounds nice, but a little hesitant. I love the sound and the car looks great.💯👍👍
Why import an LQ9 over what’s already in the country?
he was going to supercharge it down the line.. the LQ9 apparently is steel block holds boost better
@@RossReviewsauLQ9 is a cast iron 6ltr engine and definitely good for boosted setups as they are stronger and weigh 100lbs more than the alloy blocks and his sounds like it’s a stroker so would be 402 to 408 cubic inches.
Imagine having 43 kids and still find cash for toys
Awesome combo, love a good N/A engine. Nice to see my little VX get a mention there as it does rev to 8000rpm even though the tacho on the dash physically stops moving at 7000rpm so you need to guess the revs after that with your ears haha.
Couldn't agree more! this reminded me a little of yours! 2 very tuff aussie cars
