Aww that ending
I just realized this whole "David and Lotta" in Hollywood doing movies thing is really just a very elaborate viral marketing campaign by Ikea. Clever Swedes.
*"I'm bleeding."*
*"cool" "Go"*
These are the most helpful fimmaking tutorials on the internet. They're short, no adds, no bullshit, and funny. Oh and no expensive equipment even the software he uses is free.
Lotta(I hope I spelled it right) is so beautiful and is a great actress ..
I didn't notice the light bulbs turning
@@theinvictussamaritan4778 yeah me too but I couldn't see them turning
I admire your ability to take on the most simplest idea, with the cheapest budget, and still turn it into a beautiful and intense short film. You´ve earned yourself a fan! :)
David, you and Lotta are brilliant! Love Lotta's presence in front of the camera.
6:36 awww
Great BTS. The BMCC was the great equalizer, putting that cinema look into the hands of everyday people. You used it perfectly.
loved how you guys are so chilled through the production, I get frustrated real fast when things don't work how I want them to be, especially now, when I'm making a film alone because of the quaratine
You are amazing at making those minimovies! You dont have all the views that you deserve! You deserve much more!
You two are absolutely amazing filmmakers and genius problem-solvers!! Amazing content! 💪🏼💥
4:40 "This should be something creppier than my face." :))))
This is actually really fascinating! I think my favorite thing was how you lit the scene (wooo IKEA trash light!), and how you recorded all of your own sounds. I only have a very vague grasp of video editing software, but this was still interesting.
You guys are professionally THE BEST. And you look very cute together!
Your 'behind the scenes' videos are the best! Some people don't like to know how it's done, but I find I appreciate the videos even more when I know these details. I wish you both all the success you deserve (which is a lot)! :)
You guys have got to be the most wholesome couple in all of filmmaking.
Your shortfilms are INTENSE! I really like horror movies and are pretty disappointed with the output of "professional" filmmakers and directors.
Are you planning on making a full-length movie in the future? I would LOVE to see it and be scared shitless. Greetings from Germany (I went to Sweden one summer for the holidays and it was glorious! :) )
Zamoniah Thanks! There are indeed plans for a feature film that will start shooting very soon if everything goes according to plan.
Please check out our channel :) would mean the would to our production team !!!
ponysmasher DO IT, YOU'RE THE MASTER OF SUSPENSE FOR SHORT FILMS! I WOULD LOVE TO WORK WITH YOU ONE DAY!
Cool to see this behind the scenes. I enjoyed the film as well. Very suspenseful. As a horror filmmaker myself, I appreciate how you can tell such creepy films with simple stories and production value.
Never felt more inspired to shoot a short film.
if you wanna be a horror movie director, you must be a electrician first XD
The ending of this video was the most beautiful of it all.
I appreciate your work a lot more after viewing all these Behind the Scene videos, it's all so impressive with how little of a budget you have and yet also all the little details I don't notice you put in too.
I think Lights Out is one of the handful or horror shorts I watched about two years ago that I actually still remember vividly, so when I saw the name for it on Twitter I remembered it like instantly. I didn't know you had your own channel with more shorts, so I'm subscribed now. Keep up the good work you two!
I really hope you get to make another feature film in Hollywood. Your work is incredible!
As if u have to put in this much effort!?! I had no idea! Thanks for working so hard to make amazing shorts!
What a great team. Thank you both for sharing your craft.
Your movies are amazing! I love watching them though they creep me out a lot! You've also got amazing editing skills and really good acting and filming! Keep doing what youre doing, these are amazing!
I love your films! You are an inspiration and I hope you keep going with your projects. You're keeping the creepiness alive
Bro! You're freakin awesome, I've just sat and watched everyone of your short films and they're 100 percent better than almost all the horror films I've seen ever! Keep it up man I'm always watching!
Hope to see something on the big screen some day!
THE KISS AT THE END. I'm dead
You guys are amazing! Keep up with the good work. I can't stop showing my friends all the stuff you do. Love it.
Omg I love your short horror films, please continue with them. I also wish they'd be a little longer like 5-10 mins max. They're all so creative.
I love your behind the scenes videos are very informative. Thank you for posting. Sorry the thanks is coming 5 years too late.
You guys are amazing, you are the best at making scary films
I am delighted! All your movies are awesome!
Dude I love your behind the scenes shorts. Thank you for doing this.

I love your combination of classic paranormal horror with a post-modern twist. Extremely cool.

You guys are awesome :) Brilliant short films and very informative behind-the-scenes videos too!
Thank you very much for givin me the chills down my spine.. and the making of so i can sleep again ^^ cant wait for more.
You've done some really amazing work there! You two seem like great people, as an actor, who is looking for work (hint hint) you's seem really fun to work with. You have given your short films a lot of thought and as a independent viewer, really impressed, keep it up
I remember seeing this back in 2016 and being completely lost. Now having some background in videography and a little bit in film. Everything makes more sense.
You guys are naturals at this
i LOVE your shortfilms. are so much intense that many horror movies
These behind the scenes videos are just as well made as the horror videos themselves!
Absolutely love these. Can't wait for more!
The kiss at the end 🥲
You guys are my new hero!
Hey David, regarding the original idea of Lotta being in the woods, is that idea been cancelled all together due to you and Lotta now being in Los Angeles or is it still a planned thing?
This is fantastic. I actually came back to check wether you did a "behind a scenes" of Attic Panic. If not, i would have demanded it!! You make it seem so easy to make short films like that. I'm really liking the colour grading and the sound mixing. Watching your videos feels like watching feature films.. I'm a big fan!
Awww that kiss at the end. You guys are the best!😁
YOU ARE AWESOME! Thanks for the behind the scenes video. So interesting!
Love your behind the scenes stuff. Thanks for sharing!
It's amazing how you come up with horror film ideas!
Your work is so amazing man! Keep it up and keep giving us more! Thanks heaps and wish you all the very best in your future.
My god you are incredible. Please keep up this amazing work
You are my film school..
Thanks David sir...
can't wait for your next short movie...i'd love you man, honestly you did a great job and i wanna be just like you for doing this thing :)
Oh man your films are super creepy. I would really like to see them made into a full length film. I've been more frightened by Attic Panic and Lights Out than any feature length horror movie made in the past 5 years.
I didn't notice the ghost coming closer in "Lights out" short film but when I saw the similar scene in "Lights Out" movie trailer, I did see the ghost coming closer. I thought they made it differently in the feature film.
Neither did I notice the light bulbs turning. I just got the idea from the sound of it turning.
Thank you for such a detailed behind the scenes!
So much work in such a small film. Amazing good job =)
YOUR A MASTER!! Thank You BOTH For The Horror Shorts!!!
People come to see Behind the Scenes to know it isn't true and that there's nothing to worry about
Wow! This gave me an insight how hard it is to make a good video! Great job!
Unfortunately I didn't happen to notice the turn of the light bulbs, but the sound was more than sufficient to produce the intended effect. Great work!
so awesome.... what a team!
I'm a huge horror buff and I love all your work!!! Keep it up! I'm inspired by you guys!!
Great work! Wonder if all these shorts end up coming together later on. Like, you have a short that ties everything together. Or she finds out the history behind these "hauntings". That would be cool. But, its your creative vision and its amazing! Clicked subscrib right after I watched Lights Out.
thank you for making amazing films
the dsk key pitch sound you made reminded me of the sounds from the conjuring. i love what you two do!
You're both amazing .... Great job!
hi from Russia, your work is amazing, thank you a lot for this great films and animations
It was amazing David. Keep up your awesome job!
Brilliant work! Can't wait to see more :O

Love how he used the blanket trick in Annabelle
You guys are awesome.
Oh, your behind the scenes videos are just great, i would like to see even more stuff like this, where you explain how you shoot the movie and also the what you do in the post.
Really its as interesting to me as the watching the actual short!
You guys are hard workers!
Excellent work !! ... admire a lot ... Lotta, my respect ... amazing actress!
OMG, I didn't know you could do that on blender, I struggled with blender so much last couple of months in college but they never taught me that!
hey David i've been watching ur videos for four days cant stop watching them,
can you please give us some tips about filmmaking and talk about ur lenses and some tutorials about ur film look,
+Fojo Don't have time for a tutorial right now I'm afraid. Shooting a movie. But I pretty much only use two lenses, a Sigma 18-35 F1.8 and a Tokina 11-16 F2.8.
On Croped sensor? what color profile you use? and do you shot on 1080p or 4k and then scale?
Lotta great actress. Loving her.
I didn’t notice the visual of the lightbulbs turning but I understood what was happening from the sound effect
Very well done. Love your BTS
i speak spanish sorry if i have spelling mistakes but i want to tell you that your videos are awsome im really happy to found this channel because i like the horror movies and your movies are relly intense with the animations that you make thanks man :) have a great day

Love your vids, Ponysmaser! Keep em' up!
Great!!! I seen a lot horror movies but your works are a very, very good!!!!
Grettings from México
you guyssssss at the end. 👏👏👏👏👏
You guys are what the horror genre needs in Hollywood. I am sick of these 1 hour and 30 minute jump scare films.
+mONEyCruickshank yah, if he made full movies of horror id defenly watch it! this is the real horror that we wanna see!
+Lamia Heart One of his horror shorts Lights Out is going to be a full length movie! It comes out during the summer.
but it is a jumpscare fest tho
It's not shitty fake jump scares though. If there's one thing this guy knows how to do it's set up a jump scare and deliver it perfectly.
We got that wish
