Raising the dividend. Not sure I agree. $3.00 for a candy bar is not the future. These are supposed to be a cheap thrill not a cusine.
These days, a "cheap thrill" probably averages $3.
Something many of y'all will not know about. Hershey built a new plant approximately 10 years ago. While that plant is up and running, it does appear that they are expanding that manufacturing plant. I would also add that they have built new distribution warehouses nearby as well. All of that construction will definitely be eating at some of that free cash flow. They aren't going away any time soon. Part of the Hershey brand is the park. Which also went under a renovation. They are also expanding it along with the Milton S Hershey school. Both of the latter are driven by candy sales.
Thank you for the news. 🎉
The resort portion is an entirely different company.
And the construction and funding of the school will not eat into fcf, because there’s a Milton S. Hershey trust that have tens of billions of dollars in it.
That was specifically developed for the school.
@@zachsenyk192 I understand that. I know exactly what you're referencing. They still receive funding from the chocolate company. Same with the resort. Although it may be separate it's still under the same umbrella.
Regard to the rise price Cocoa, I believe this is just a temporarily thing due to the heavy rains that spread disease that cause rots cocoa pod, etc., from the Cocoa farm in Africa. I brought more of HSY today. They have such a strong MOAT. Remember Supply vs Demand in Economic 101! Plus, I luv Hersey. 🤗 🥰
One of my bigger DCA buys ATM! Love me some HSY!:)
Investors are disciplined and decisive during turbulence, buying more often if fundamentals are gtg still; however retail buyers run and lose when bloods in the water. I prefer the first. Good video Dividendology! 👍
thanks!
Cocoa has never been this high...how can they get that under control? Important before I invest
Buying as much as I can
I plan on buying 😊
Great job as always!
Would like to ask you to make some nice content explaining the use for each one of your specific models basis company’s sector and why different models are to be used e.g for financial institutions or insurance sector, REITs or companies which are in the growth phase with no or minor earnings etc.
That would be very helpful! Thanks a lot as always !
nice idea!
Like 72 here, thanks for reviewing HSY we are pumped to see all the data 😎🤘
Can you do one on mondelez?
Excellent overview.
Picked some up early yesterday
Despite the fantastic dividend history i would wait for cocoa prices to correct to the downside first before accumulating.
Sorry going down lower its still n a massive downtrend on the weekly monthly setup the 20 has crossed below the 50 & 100 now about 2 dive thru the 200. $170 could be a sell cc puts or buy puts to it. Then consider being a buyer. Otheriwse treasuries still a solid 5.5% risk free.
Muito bem 🤜🤛 és espetacular ! Também adoro o peter linch
Cocoa futures are also at record highs.
That's an understatement! How are they going to get this under control so this stock can recover?
It’s pretty evident at the stores as well, formerly cheap candies like Andes mints are almost 4 dollars a box in many instances. Looking at candy prices in stores is BAFFLING. It’s worse per weight than red meat right now
Are you sure about that trade? Ever hear of COPEC? With $10,000/ton in chocolate futures, up 3x in 1 year... in a soft commodity that is elastic... I'm out. I'd rather be a cacao producer.
What is your opinion on Mondelez international. Have you even considered owning their stock or making such video about them?
I just bought a small position in MDLZ. They look like a good company from their numbers, and aggressive, focused on growth. Plus I like their products. I’ll eat Milka chocolate over Hersheys any day. Hersheys chocolate is low quality in my opinion.
its a decent price, But i dont feel comfortable in the idea that cocoa prices wil fall and stay there. One of the first victims of climate change
Can you explain why SJM is at a low price?
Divestitures taking longer than expected
Thx for the vid. I'll be buying more $HSY if it pulls back further.
So many of these Old World Stonks ready to go. Like WBA
About the mr. Beast bit...he may do a lot of good, but he sells inferier products...from his burgers to his chocolates...that's a nonfactor. But i loved everything else about the video
I saw he just revised the chocolate formula, so it may be better?
It also ignores that Hershey’s has many non chocolate products as well as it’s theme park and hotel. It’s more diverse than just chocolate.
i view it way differently than you apparently. Mr beast is a marketing Machine that Hershey cannot keep up with. He has 252 million subscribers as of April 2024. MrBeast has a total of 46.9B views on their channel as of April. There is simply no way Hershey can keep up with that kind of views that MrBeast pays very little for. The Chocolate he is promoting is "supposedly" healthier and in high demand amongst youths due to his popularity. Now is this a Fad or is this here to stay? I don't know but for the near term Hershey is in trouble. The reviews for the chocolate have been for the most part positive. I have not tried this product myself so only going off the things I've read about it. Hershey currently has a name brand behind it and a variety of products that will keep them from crashing too hard but this is defiantly troubled waters in the near term.
The 52 week low is not a low though. The big player is still involved. They pulled a little profit out. I would not touch this thing unless it's $110 - $125. I will wait.
Please do a video on your opinion comparing TGT with KR
nice idea!
Great content as usual. Would you be willing to do a video looking at OMAB? Trading around a 15 PE with 5.5% yield, 85% Payout ratio and growing consistently.
I'll check it out!
How did you get growth rate of 10% on grahams model??
Hei, very nice content. Can you help
Us maybe with a short analysis on endava(DAVA)? Thanks in advance
Can you make a video on Apple ?
Cocoa prices are too high
I’m buying. Cyclical cocoa prices will come back down. Wouldn’t back the truck up but diversify the Roth account.
If the management were really top tier competent, they will had only raise the div by 1 or .5% this year and would have use all of the FCF to buyback shares.
Didn’t the ceo of Hershey in the last earnings meetings talk about cocoa prices cutting into profits in 24? Pass
Aren't dividends payed out of earnings and not cash flow?
Climate change increased pests and diseases and decreased yields of cocoa plants.
Also supplier nations are no longer willing to export raw cocoa products.
Take into account that HSY is raising its offer of "healthy" and salad snacks, which will help to their FCF and make them more "cocoa independent"
