Wow what great setup! Hard to find a balance between portability, elegance and functionality but I'd say you nailed all three! Definitely will be looking into some of this gear
Finally a DJ showing us how they load the car up! So many people drive SUV's like this and love to see what can fit and what doesn't and this is such a great example of not needing a commercial van to get a TV booth. Thanks Daryl Amazing as always!!
Thanks for watching man! I definitely think a commercial van makes it easier, but I think the majority of DJs aren’t buying a dedicated vehicle for gigs, they’re using what they have
The biggest drawback is there is no way to pre-wire an electrical strip and some wiring for a quicker less hassle setup . If they could come up with something that would make it a better buy for sure
another very informative content once again Daryl! I have a question with you, I have still waiting for my SoundSwitch Controller from GC for more than a month now. I have an upcoming event next weekend and I am planning to buy CHAUVET DJ GigBAR Move + ILS. Have you tried using SoundSwitch on a GigBAR? Is GIGBAR listed on SoundSwitch fixtures? Thanks
Great content as usual, seasoned DJs always have a back so kudos on that tv fix. I still can’t believe the gator tv case costs more than the tv 😂. Hurts me more when I have 3 TVs 😭
You can nest those totems inside one another and use a standard truss bag. They take up half as much room, just leave the top plates connected and remove the base plates. Setup was super clean, but that Humpter...I just can't get into it. Maybe later models.
@@DJDarylBennett A full season of that totem solution has really served me well. Also expedites the setup considerably vs having it disassembled. I do stuff some foam inside to help maintain the shape and reduce any stress on the welds (someone said those welds are weak).
Most portable if you don't have a van. Ultimate portability is a roll in booth fully pre wired with just dropping power and signal cables. 15 minutes then your only focus is lighting. 😀
I'm just curious why you didn't spread your speakers out like you did your totems? Wouldn't you want your sound to sound even? Especially for the people in the far back corner. Other than that, good setup.
I could have, there wasn't a ton of room between the garage and where the photo booth was setup. And I was pressed for time as I had to move once already. Movers are completely wireless. Speakers aren't. Also they were right next to the dance floor either way
@DJDarylBennett OK I was just asking. I typically get to my events 2hrs before the start time in case something comes up. Especially if I don't have my helper. I understand you were pressed for time. But it did look like you had enough room to set up the other speaker in front of your totem. Of course, next time test the connections to your TV before the event. Especially if it's the first time to use it. But I'm sure you won't make that mistake again. Sometimes we don't learn unless we make mistakes. And me personally, I'm not a fan of the TV booth. Yes, it looks good at the beginning of the event when nobody is in front of it. But, then when people start dancing only the people right in front of it can see it. I know you also use it for videos, but I would want people to be dancing and have a good time with each other. Not looking down at a TV. But these are only my suggestions and opinions. So take it for what is worth and keep Jammin!
I try to have it 30-45min. This one took a little longer because I had to move halfway thru. They asked me to move a 3rd time and I told them that it was too late

I've always played with the idea of a rocketbox on top of my xb for exactly this purpose. Thanks for showing dj proof of concept
Yeah it's been super handy!
@DJDarylBennett instead of black clips we just use white electrical tape to hold cables.
Great idea

I don't know how you get all the good weddings!!!!!!! fun fun fun........
It was a great wedding, tia and max were an amazing couple to work for
Great gig log I appreciate the content you share thank you
Thank you man! 🙏
"...and even a gig bar move... in white" I dnk why but this made me laugh so hard. great vids!
Thanks man for watching! #beautifulInWhite
Darryl, I really love the way you explain everything. How long does it take you to setup? What are your fees for everything in this package?

That is true, and one of the things holding me back from getting me one
bro you pulled out all the stops with all the games awesome work! good to see that all fit, I'm working with a similar sized suv.
Thanks man! Had to be very intentional on saving space! Haha that roof rack has saved me more than once

It works with soundswitch and is listed
@@FlawlessDJs great! thank you so much. So, I will not get with the command controller. 👍👍👍
Yes it works. Checkout my latest reel, I'm using SoundSwitch with the gigbar move ils
I use white velcro. I like those white NLFX cables. Super thick gauge!
Great tip!

You and me both! But I think that’s just indicative that TVs have gone way down in price

That's a great idea! Admittedly, the booth grew on me. No one in my area has one which was one reason I decided to get one

Very true! I thought about that route, but I wanted a setup that could handle stairs easily, because my Hoerboard already can't handle stairs

@DJDarylBennett What settings do you use on your Yamaha?
I just played around with it until it sounded good. Would need to check
How long is your set-up time?

I'm still waiting on you to spend the money for the humpter totems and review them before I buy lol.
I'm trying to work on something. I do think they look nicer than gravity stands or Rockville totems, and they seem to be easy to setup
I just got the stands an I love them. It is pricey but we'll built an I think they are quick set up an breakdown which is important.
