I dont think this is correct, as the heavenly mutation ALWAYS has priority, even against subspace. If you put quantam on the heavenly rod, you will sometimes get heavenly on a supposedly subspace fish. This is because the heavenly mutation is added after you catch a fish, and is not determined when you lure the fish, which is why there is no change to text or appearance after catching the fish. This is the same with another rod added in the northern expidition, being the crystallised rod. The subspace mutation from the quantam enchant, however, applies the mutation similarly to most other mutations. I think that newer mutations or mutations from an enchant may have priority due to being 'put' onto a fish last, which means that it would override the old one (might not be true tho, just making a guess).

I did 1-hour tests for each rod, repeated 6 times (6 hours total for ROTEK and 6 hours for Heaven Rod, 12 hours combined). ROTEK consistently outperformed the Heaven Rod every hour. avg: ROTEK: 680,414/hour Heaven Rod: 583,223/hour Overall, ROTEK earned ~16.7% more per hour, making it the top rod for money in those conditions. ROTFF and ROTD have pretty close luck stats, but the key difference is that ROTD’s ghost ability is actually affected by the Quantum enchant, unlike the ROTFF’s Megalodon. Because of this, I think ROTD might be on par with or even better than ROTFF in terms of money, but I’m not going to make any claims yet until I’ve gathered some solid data. fingers crossed aye

Whilst they may have changed the droprates of things like crates and whatnot, it would be incredibly convenient if when something odd happens like this, you retested in the same locations to rule out inconsistencies with luck. You can never get a definitive answer with just one test.
Now do RotFF vs No Life rod. I would do this test myself but i dont have the new relics. (I got quatum on rotff and it preformed WAYYY better than rotek and havens rod on reef probably because the mutation is the same as heavenly and has more chanes.) No life rod has the advantage that u can use bait like worms and still get instant catches, while rotff needs instant catcher, but rotff makes up for it with the bigger luck and the passive
Either the crates and stuff are selling the grinds so badly since both reef and canal is literally a grind spot for crates ngl. Or they somehow did a silent nerf to mythicals's overall chance to get caught which i dont think they would do.
Carbon you should make a video on quantaum enchant on rotd. It is absolutely cracked. It on average makes a decent bit more money than heavens rod, but when aurora or any form of luck boost is used, The heavens rod DOES perform a bit better. I think more people should know about it and i'd appreciate if you make a video on it.
A weird thing happens for me: no matter where i fish my heavenly mutation ratio is more so 10 percent in comparison to the total mythic and legendary fishes, but when you take the same calculation for barrels, baits, and common crates, my heavenly rate is more around 20 to 40 percent. This happens at most places with crates in a loot pool. Im wondering if the devs made it so that crates have a higher chance of mutation because normal fish have a slight chance of being other mutation like silver, translucent, etc but crates dont have that chance to instead you get more of the mutation that you would get from your rod.

In order to get people attracted to their new update places they will have to make it seem like the new place is the best in the game. This means they will most likely nerf past places to get their new place more attention and get people to play more

As a person who used the caverns since level 60 I've definatly seen a difference in the money I get. Before, i used to get 150k per night. It's not only the cavern, I tried the depths and got the aincent depth serpent event 5 times today and I got an average of 2 serpents per event. These tests were done with a better rod too (i used to use artic, now rod of the depths)
I noticed yesterday that I wasn't making as much at grand reef while helping my friend. I usually got around 115k-125k and now I get like 90k. This was with Heavens rod.
I hate the crates so much so the only couple places ive fished these last couple weeks was Roslit Bay - Clam abundance (for 2 golden sea pearls) Grand Reef - Boosted mythicals and Depths - Relic grinding
I definitely agree and feel like nearly every spot in the map just been nerfed. I haven't had has much fun fishing recently bc nearly all im getting is crates or barrels and it's so boring getting those. I'd rather get regular, common fish than crates. After all, it's a fishing game. I get that it shouldn't be too easy to get mythicals, but then add more fish to spots.
I think the crate situation is affected by the bait you were using while i was forsaken fishing during a aurora i was pulling mostly bait crates with heavens while using sea wed/ rapid catchers when i took it off then i was getting gold fishes back to back.
Think about Heavens rod with Quantum enchant (Not considering the lure speed), it could be the best when used in Mutation Surge and u can get Heavenly and Subspace. And with 225% luck, u could get more Heavenly and Subspace Mutated fish 🤑🤑
In fact if you guys did try out the depths for enchant relic you will notice it changed that you cant really get as much as legendary/mythick back before and it is same as enchant relic. Recently those money making place is getting nerfed
Hasty is already good enough, a lot of people use baits as well even if it’s not 100% yet, Quality is suitable for NLR but Quantum enchant took that spot so.. just use baits and your problem is solved

i use quantum on rotff because high lure speed,only need seaweed for instant lure high luck,good for catching high value fish,combine it with the x5 value mutation! high resi,very high resi,good for meg,whales and col squid inf kg,its helpful i guess,though a little overkill passive-high weight+subspace enchant is a lot of mone,also more fish to sell basically just use it on any rod that dont have base mutation,like rod of the depths
So I've seen this problem where the chances of mutations on rods has changed. I've played where it was 2 in 10 fish were mythical and 3 in 10 were heavenly and were it is higher. Idk what happened but its really inconsistent.
I feel like no life rod will become the best rod for money gaining when you get the quantum enchant. I see people arguing ROTFF could be better but the lure speed would suffer from not having hasty.
I THINK that they nerfed the heavens rod pretty much. Back then it costed 1,750,000 (with the red cristal) Now it costs 1,750,000 (without the red cristal) plus when i was fishing in canal (farming for 2-3 hours) i was getting so little heavenly fish an so many heavenly bait crates,crates and fish barrels. Olso back then the chanse of getting heavenly fish was lower then now but we are getting less heavenly fish then back when it was released.

I use NLR with Steady. You catch fish so fast with stab and progress bonus. For me, it’s outperformed everything else. Do you have the Piercing enchant? Is the stab like NLR or the better stab looks Trident?

Rod of the exalted one has more chances. Normally the relic drop rate is 1/2000 (i think) and with the new rod the drop rate is 1/800 (i dont think the depths give you more chance but im really not sure)

For me i always have mythics subspace and heavenly but the crayes are gradually increasing and there like infesting the whole ocean at this point

I think if you added quantum to rod of the exalted one, it would be pretty good because it has good overall stats.

Yo carbon i hope you see this. When your doing experiments, do it based on cacthes not the day/night cycle bc it varies in time. Hope this helps
Always watch your vids they’re always so helpful and I’ve noticed they crates are reallly common even during an aurora I would get bait crates with heavens rod
real i used to get 100k+ in around 20 min and now i get about 70k in 40 min
It has the same money boost as the Heaven's Rod, but it is better because it has a 25% chance to get Subspace.

basically just use it on any rod that dont have base mutation,like rod of the depths
So I've seen this problem where the chances of mutations on rods has changed. I've played where it was 2 in 10 fish were mythical and 3 in 10 were heavenly and were it is higher. Idk what happened but its really inconsistent.
I feel like no life rod will become the best rod for money gaining when you get the quantum enchant. I see people arguing ROTFF could be better but the lure speed would suffer from not having hasty.

I THINK that they nerfed the heavens rod pretty much.
Back then it costed 1,750,000 (with the red cristal)
Now it costs 1,750,000 (without the red cristal) plus when i was fishing in canal (farming for 2-3 hours) i was getting so little heavenly fish an so many heavenly bait crates,crates and fish barrels.
Olso back then the chanse of getting heavenly fish was lower then now but we are getting less heavenly fish then back when it was released.

the rod itself has not been nerfed, the crate chances have been massively increased in the canaral

positive canal grand reef and maybe others got silent nerf, due to enchant relics not being as common in the depths anymore, idk whats happened they put so many updates out just for it to be bad,
I use NLR with Steady. You catch fish so fast with stab and progress bonus. For me, it’s outperformed everything else.
Do you have the Piercing enchant? Is the stab like NLR or the better stab looks Trident?

i didn't know what a exalted relic was and i got it like 5 mins in to the update i got quantum on rod of the depths first try i realised how lucky i was once i saw that its 5x more money

theres an in game issue where you constantly get bait crates for no reason you can fish with fishhead or truffle worm and you will constantly get lower teir fish
personally i have rod of the forgotten fang with quantum and it outperforms both of those so im pretty sure thats meta

Im pretty sure Eternal kings rod with hasty makes more money than heavens rod, especially with the fact that you dont have to use bait to insta catch.

Hasty only use it for getting the relics it's basically a gimmick rod

Get the Quantum Enchant on the heavens rod, you get 5x for heavenly and if you dont get heavenly you have a high chance of subspace

This is a game where you catch FISH, not boxes and barrels. If they did a shadow nerf then they are killing the fun and this will negatively impact the game. Woooow yippeee I got a bait crate for the 10th time in a row!! Like what are they thinking dude.
Hear me out, rod of the depths with quantum is better than heaven's rod because quantum has a higher chance, and you also have ROTD's passive, plus it can insta catch with rapid catchers

I use heavens rod a lot and one day I feel like the luck went way down, cuz I went fishing for about 45mins and I only caught 7 fish in total and only one of them were a legendary not even a mythical (this was at grand reef)

Rod of the exalted one has more chances. Normally the relic drop rate is 1/2000 (i think) and with the new rod the drop rate is 1/800 (i dont think the depths give you more chance but im really not sure)

Quantum - Caught fish have a chance to be Subspace ( reference to subspace tripmine ) with 5X

Anomalous - Chance to double fish and doubled fish is Anoumalous mutation which is 2.5X
