Stupid fill hole is on the side and requires a hose? Dumb. My newer civic has a hole on top with a plug that still allows me to use a funnel. Granted, it's long and skinny, but I don't have to mess around with a fill hose and pump. Thx honda. SMH
They’re all getting rid of the dipsticks. It’s infuriating. I feel like the pinnacle of automotive design was 2003-2012…. Seems like everything got crazy after that. Direct injection with gunky intake valves, 10 speed automatics when all you need is 5…sensors, 10 cameras, push button shifters…more stuff to break.
Great job by you for this helpful video. Absolute fail by Honda to make what was a SIMPLE procedure on my 2006 era Odyssey into an absolute nightmare. And given the difficulty checking the level, you’re going to have a lot more ppl driving around with potentially low fluid levels.
It's a bit jarring while driving. I know Hondas are built well but I'll never been a fan of how they shift. It's not rough it's just shifts weirdly to me.

No more ATF Fluid dipstick? Why Honda take away the dipstick? Such crappy way to check ATF fluid levels.
That is actually insane!
Totally agree, checking the fluid and filling on my 2006 Odyssey is a 5 minute process.

Good Job! Exactly the same procedure with the 2021 Accord w/10 speed transmission. I change mine every 30K.

That checking method is really not up to Honda standards. We expect more. Re assign or demote that designer and let the other ones know.
All this crap to just skip using a dipstick. Come on Honda do better!
thanks for the video. What's the torque specs on both of those bolts?
is this also on the 24 models as well?
Great video man! & what are your thoughts on the Honda 10-Speed transmission?
