5:01 That thing George does when Jerry asks "how did you get in here?" is a reference to the tv series "I Dream Of Jeannie". Jeannie was a genie that crossed her arms and nodded to perform her magic
I absolutely love your reactions to this show. I already was subscribed so all I'll say is: this show gets better and better. And yet even in these early shows which are just a shadow of what's to come, even in these early shows there's still brilliant writing, classic lines, classic episodes, and great performances. Elaine and especially Kramer are really going to develop into something else. George too. This is going to be a great, hilarious ride!!!!! I'm in!
Love your reactions.....Seinfeld season 1 is the dryest season , It starts to hit it's stride in seasons 2-3 and gets a whole lot better as you go , love watching with you but I do miss . ... The geeks and wheres Murrel ?😂 Stay blessed 🙏
IDK if i qualify as a geek in her book, but i got a bad feelin' i might. That last time when she had mentioned something like nice to be geek free with this comedy or what have you... 🤣... yeah that 😬 hit a bit close. Ah well, like the man upstairs, i am what i am.
I was was just referring to missing her walking dead reactions 😂 cause she was taking a comedic break from TWD but Seinfeld and TWD are both great shows ✌️
I think Jerry only leaves his apartment unlocked when he's home and awake. It's a reasonably nice neighbourhood, so I don't think he's too worried about home invasion. There is a security door at the front entrance where people are supposed to ring up to the apartment on an intercom, and be buzzed in, so there's not suppose to be strangers wandering around the hallways. In this episode, though, the front door is broken, so George got in without being buzzed in. But the main reason is that Kramer needs to make an odd and dramatic entrance in most episodes. And although we don't see Jerry lock the door when he leaves, he may be locking it with a key from the outside. But most importantly, they don't want to waste screen-time on it.
@ the only reason I say that is because someone told me when I was in college in about 2003 that the rent would be about 1500. I know people that live in Manhattan and it’s a whole bunch of people that live in an apartment in rent is 5000.
Just a heads up, Elaine is one of the four main characters of the show. She's gonna be in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE from now on, so you should probably try to move on from the fact that she and Jerry used to go out. That being said, the fact that you're reacting to Seinfeld has earned you a sub from me. 🙂

Ooohhhhh! Never clicked before I just read it.
Jerry DID lock the door when he would go out and leave the apartment empty. It was only unlocked when he was home.

💯
You need to get over Elaine being his ex. Elaine is his friend and is main character throughout the show. She is more friend, than ex.
except that one time.
On most episodes
@@Whologin Yeah, this that and the other! LOL!
Because when they were together she was faking it.
@@riskey Fake, Fake, Fake! Like Meryl Streep, she's such a phony!
That rent was probably $3,000 for the new apartment
Wow in the early 90s tho 😩

Yeah, that's the first amount I thought of. They say the rent was cheap, so maybe $2500.
I like that you really discuss the episode you're watching. Some people just laugh. lol
❤️
Being friends with an ex is a positive thing.
Depends
It's a straight downgrade.

That apartment was roughly 3k at the time. EDIT: i meant the existing one. 🌝
Oh wow!
Yeah but that apartment was on the UWS by the park. I’m thinking at least 2000+ per month, even in the early 90’s. Today, it would be 4000-5000.
That’s crazy the early 90s 😩 who had that type of money 👀
I don't get the obsession with them being exes. Or with status of the door while they're IN the apartment. They don't live in a warzone.
u smile kille me so much, your guy is so lucky
that apartment was still probably like $1800-2200. it's not like it was 1950's pricing or something lol
This episode always confused me as a kid... the door has a lock. We see the lock. The lock never comes into play ever again in the series.
He uses the locks when Joe Davola is after him and/or the episode with The Lopper.
He doesn't lock when he is in the house . Later episodes when he comes home he unlocks his door to get in

One person's trash is another person's come up.
His standup is/was hit or miss. At the time he was kind of revolutionary in the comedy world. Pretty dry stuff though.
1000 to 1500 if it was cheap, over 2000 if it was normal priced.
That’s crazy for back in the day
You all are making her start from season 1? Season 3 is where you should start.
You are very beautiful 😍and I love Seinfeld! I must subscribe! 😃
Thank you! ☺️❤️
please stop talking about him being friends with his ex. guess what, some mature people are able to do that. let it go. does not matter.
Yes
Yes, and that dynamic will remain there for another 177 episodes... Fun if she's mentions this EVERY time we see Elaine.
😂❤️
