@@clarencestewart2731 I was a fast turnover runner, not a strider. Also, did not have the explosiveness (muscle mass) for the 100M. Similar to Pietro Mennea. I was good at the relay and 200M, but could never maintain the turnover on the last stretch of the 400. I was not the worst, but definitely not what was expected. (won the 200M)
Machel Cedenio; he has a history of overtaking the man ahead of him at the end. Take a look at his performance in the third leg of the 2017 WC in London.

You can beat a Trini, but you can't win a Trini. . This time the Trini won. On top of the world, that's where they belong....... CEDENO IS THE MAN.... Shabir Khan. ...a Trini at heart.
Machel Cedeno is the chief reason for TnT success in the 4×400m relay on the World IAAF Stage within the past 5 years....he's a 400m runner that should've also already tasted Olympic Glory....but, there's yet time still for him to do so....and so too is Jareem Richards in both the 200m individual & 400m relay team member
Just Remember this FACT.....2008 OLYMPICS 400X100... JAMAICA DOPED..... TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO GETS GOLD....Another FACT.. .2012 4X100 OLYMPICS. U.S.A . DOPED... TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO GETS SILVER..BE HONEST AND HUMBLE LIKE A TRINI....... Shabir Khan. A Trini at heart.
Congratulations to T&T are in order. Am however concerned about the USA's current crop of 400 metre runners at major athletics championships. They're underwhelming...twice now I've watched USA's 4x4 relay anchor leg with a comfortable lead literally relinquish it in the final 100 meters. On both occasions, the culprit was T&T, overhauling the USA's anchor leg runner. How have the mighty fallen!
ONE A SUPER CLASS EVENT........ ALL PARTICIPANTS IS SUPER ENERGY FULL, PRACTICE FULL, TECHNICAL FULL, STAMINA FULL, POWERFUL AND STRONG......... IN THIS SITUATION WINER IS SUPER WONDERFUL.........
snotzboy All of these guys are homegrown. Three had US scholarships college scholarships and Cedenio, the anchor never went to school in the US. He turned pro after winning the World Junior championship in 2014.
Sameeee i thought their third went out too fast but he ran a great leg. I would have out him last. He gunned his first 200m. Anchor ran a bad front running 400m.
WoW! I love the subtly, USA (B). USA (A) can get it too. TTO population as a country is smaller or the same as miami dade county. Plus there are faster 400m runners who just don't want to run the 400m.
I think the start of all races should be held at a straight line starting. Like is with 100m & 200m. I know it sounds ridiculous. But I've been racing my whole life unprofessionally & I do feel even tho its same distance between intervals, but if you see someone who is far ahead of you it's definitely a serious motivation killer. & Motivation is the 1st of all criterias even above how physically fast someone is. The motivation fades away sometimes unconsciously.
I really empathize with the American athlete. People said that he divided, I more believe that he just collapsed with fear. After all, he knew that he had to defend against Cedenio which he knew was way beyond his ability; and of course he would have seen Cedenio run before.
Usain doesn't even do 4x400 what are you on about. And Jamaica still has up and coming talents in track and field. If you gone come come CORRECT. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
What a brilliant run of T&T. Deserved victory!
Amazing run TnT! I can't help watching this race over and over. Good team effort but DAYUM! Machel Cedenio, what a finish!!!!!
The Trinidad and Tobago anchor runner was very brave.
Salute.
If you ever ran track, the last 100 meters seems like an eternity!
Drop the anchor! Keep form and pray. I was a 200 M runner, but could not do the 400 well.

The Trinidad anchor is Epic!
Holy crap, I would say great kick, but that whole final leg was amazing. WTG, T&T!
Awesome! I’m so proud of you guys. You guys made Trinidad happy. Much love!!🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹

Trinidad ows their victory entirely to the final leg.
Ok.. It is a team! Are you calling the grapes sour?
That was one hell of a anchor, TTO MUCH RESPECT!!!
Methink it's all their legs, left and right... hehehhehe
Much respect to Cedeno..he tends walk em down. Only one I've ever seen better at anchoring a relay is Lashawn Merritt.

Can't wait for Richards and Cedeño to win olympic medals. They deserve it as much as anyone else.
Damn he ran him down like a Cheetah
What a effort by the last man from T&T....never settle for less...congrats....
Michael Cherry (USA ) should Run the Anchor Leg...
I’m trini and proud but give props to japan team

Congrats TTO.you are a winner
I think that took a couple years off Cendeno's life.
Jereem Richards ran again as an amazing second leg like London 2017
Well done Gents TT

Fairly new event for Jamaican, I'm still proud of them. 🇯🇲
What is? 4*4? Jamaica won the Gold Medal in the Olympics back in 1952, I think with Herb Mckinley.
Trinidad earned that one
the running starts after 5 and half minutes

snotzboy Incorrect. All were born in Trinidad and only a couple go to school/ train in the US.
Nice job!
Muy buena carrera lo justo es justo, por lo regular la gente de color son los amos del deporte como lo fue el gran Ben Johnson
Ben Johnson Se Dopaba, Era Un Tramposo

Did he dive into the finishing line??
Who was that anchor for T & T? What was that split?
Machel Cedenio

Congratulations Kenya
TT love from India
Anyone knows Trinidad Anchor SPLIT?
Proud of Jamaica using a younger team 🔥🔥 should have gotten 2nd still but good job nonetheless
They did get 2nd. Didnt you watch the race?
Mai Back is it because Usa fell?
Lucky number 7...The greatest nation on earth.
Sometimes, the runner stumbles.
i can't believe how many times i've seen a runner stumble at the tape - just as someone overtakes him/her
USA anchor is poor...!! Bad coaching decision. The 1st and 3rd leg runners was incredible performance
Sameeee i thought their third went out too fast but he ran a great leg. I would have out him last. He gunned his first 200m. Anchor ran a bad front running 400m.
Ricky Dominic ...you just lost... and Kerlee to get an advantage had a lane violation 😃
thought the anchor did well
Anchor leg took off way too fast he had the lead needed to save some gas for Last 50 meters and he could have held off T and T
They were supposed to make Fred Kerley the anchor!
World record will never be broken they are so far of the time
Great men
Way to go Japan!
Unbelievable!
ALL TEAMS IS PRACTICE FULL, TECHNICAL FULL, STAMINA FULL, POWERFUL AND STRONG.........
BUT WINER IS WONDERFUL.........
Jamaica's first runner! Uussh.
Trinbago Trinbago!!!!

the Jamaican guy who ran third leg has improved
VERY TRUE , using his Head more now.
8:40 Seems to me he was trying to keep 2nd place because the Jamaican athlete came closer, and then he noticed the American was too slow
Hardly think so...that is his style....always tremendous grit and determination in the last 100...His mantra is probably it aint over til its over.
