So our culture are come from India and it's not a new things, where it's celebrate by generations. if u open UA-cam and type this Mayana Kollai Thiruvizha from India they celebrate the same way as here no changes and it's not new. I agree with you totally. I believe this is because they don’t delve deeper into the scriptures. This is what happens with surface level understanding of Sanatan dharm. Doesn’t mean just because there are some places in India following this, it makes it right. Opens opportunities for people of other faith to mock Sanatan dharma.
