Thank You! I installed an hour meter on my Toro zero turn but didn't know about the necessity of siting on the seat to make it work! I've viewed other videos and may have missed that important information so I really appreciate you saying that key information at the beginning of your video.
Great video. Thank you for this. I love my Toro Timecutter zero turn - best mower I’ve ever owned! However, the fact that it doesn’t come factory with an hour meter is absolutely stupid. My only nitpick!
@@JLPicard440 I actually found that Husqvarna's hour meter they sell for $18 on eBay is the exact fit - it's what I used. But my comment still stands - it should be law for all mowers to come with hour meters! haha
was your meter reading anything when you first removed it from the box. I have got two of these hour meters that don't read anything, or do you need to do something that is not shown in the instructions.
And for the record, on my 2022 timecutter 50", the hour meter only runs when you're sitting in the seat, and it's running. If it's running, and you're NOT sitting in the seat, it will NOT count time. I wonder why they took that extra measure?
Yes that's the way they did it. Mine is the same way. I suppose there's nothing to actually track the engine itself, but it would have made more sense to tie the timer to the ignition switch.. I guess that's why those engineers are paid the big bucks!... 🤣
@@kevinrice957 You'll have to take the dimensions of the Toro one and compare to the aftermarket and make sure they're the same, as well as the plug so you don't have to chop up the wires otherwise you'll be hacking the mower to get it to fit right. I did look on Amazon and actually didn't see one on there that would fit. I checked Ebay and they have some aftermarket ones for under $30.

Awesome! So glad I could help... 😀

I agree... they really cheaped out on that one... and $80 to buy it from Toro is outrageous too... I have the same nitpick.. 🤮

@@ComedyBros5 Oh excellent! Thanks for that tip.

HI, if I remember right it was reading 0 or very close to it... There may be a way to reset it if you get a used one, or if it's not reading 0..
Great tutorial. Thank you. As a note you can skip the screwdriver if you want to.
You're welcome! Glad it helped... 😀
Do you have a video on adjusting the tracking on the 2020 Toro timecutter? Mine keeps going to the left as soon as I disengage the parking.
I don’t at this time, but it’s a great idea. I’ll see if I can do one 😊😊
Thank you for this video! I'm a very competent guy, but, had trouble understanding the vague directions that came with the meter.
That's excellent! Thank you for the great feedback... 🙂

Thanks for posting, got a generic one from ebay, a little modifications & should be ok
Yes, that's what I should have done! The factory one is $80... :-(
If it worked, can you name the company or anything? I'd like to avoid the Toro branded $60 one and go with the $15 one Amazon has. ??

where did you purchase the hour meter?
I got it from my local Toro dealer, but they can be bought from Amazon. I think they even make an aftermarket version.
Unfukinbelievable....
So simple and thanks for the 18dollar husqvarna tip
You bet!
Great Info
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you I was wondering what the other pin was for.
You’re welcome 😊
