The 2025 Ford Bronco lineup adds a special edition that's inspired by the Stroppe Baja Broncos from the 1960s and '70s.
The new Bronco Stroppe Edition is based on a two-door Wildtrak, but it has a distinctive tri-tone livery that resembles the old-school version.
Ford hasn't said how much the Stroppe Edition costs or how many it will build, but the limited-edition Bronco will be available in January.
The modern-day Ford Bronco thrives on nostalgia, with a retro design that's ripe for all sorts of special editions. Ford just recently revealed the colorful Bronco Free Wheeling package, and now it has announced another throwback option: the 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Edition.
The Stroppe Edition is named after Bill Stroppe, who back in the 1960s and '70s was known for taking factory-built Broncos and preparing them to compete in sanctioned off-road races such as the Baja 1000 and NORRA Mexican 1000. Ford says that a Bronco built by Stroppe won the Baja 1000 in 1969, and it remains the only stock 4x4 to claim an outright win. There's no better way to commemorate that type of legacy than building a modern-day version, which Ford says it has been hinting at ever since the Bronco R returned to Baja in 2020.
