On the occasion of International Day for Disaster Reduction - October 13th, and World Tsunami Awareness Day - 5th November - we present a Series of programs - Presenting Part - 7 and Part-8; “Disaster Preparedness, Concepts & Principles & Disaster Response Mechanism” (English - 2008).
Every year, World Tsunami Awareness Day is observed on November 5. This day is celebrated to raise awareness for early warnings and actions to protect people, save lives, and prevent the hazard from becoming a disaster.
The United Nations General Assembly has designated 13 October as the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDRR) to promote a global culture of disaster risk reduction.
