I have the Marine band and the Trail band. I much prefer the Trail. Once you have the sizing dialed, it just stays put. The watch is super comfortable, whether exercising or sleeping, and I don't find the watch twisting on my wrist like other bands or watches. I had the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 previously, and I didn't wear it at night because it was annoying on my wrist. Weirdly, the Ultra with the Trail band doesn't bother me at all while sleeping because the watch doesn't move around and the band never feels too tight.
Great content. I have the marine band, the trail band both from samsung. I also have 2 more marine bands with magnetic closures in black and orange. Also, a blue band with magnetic closure. Can't find the peak form band. I will get one eventually. I wish you would have talked more about the bands locking mechanism. Sorry, apple fans, but it blows the apple watches band mechanism out of the water. Don't believe me. For those who have both galaxy watch ultra, apple Ultra 2. With both bands attached, give them a wiggle side to side, gi e them a pull, the apple band corners will start to lift away from the case. But the galaxy watch ultra doesn't budge. Which, of course, is more secure if it gets caught on something.
I just ordered a Titanium Gray Watch Ultra with a Dark Gray Peakform band earlier today. The little info/description on the Shop Samsung ap was pretty disappointing. Thanks for this video explaining the differences. I settled on the Peakform due to to it's clean and non-bulky aesthetic. My wrist is 170mm, so i can appreciate your POV. The trail band does look cool as well, but I've never been a fan of stretchy bands and i wonder about it's longevity.
I got the orange marine with mine , plus a free orange trail band , and I bought a dark grey marine band too. I was surprised at how comfortable the marine band is and the ultra watch in general , I think it's even more so than the 6 classic . The way the bands attach to the watch now and blend in to the frame is so much better now.
You are a richer person than me, that's for sure. I can't bring myself to buy a first party band for the insane prices they are asking. I feel like I will bleed from my eyes if I even add it to my cart.
Love the watch, I got the trail band as a bonus strap when buying it and it's really comfortable. Need to buy a grey one though as the orange is a bit bold for daily wear. The marine band is good quality but too thick. Love the look of that peak form. Think it might be the one to go for.
Great video. With the lack of information when I had to order mine a couple of weeks ago, I ended up going with the "hero version" that they advertised the most - black watch with the orange marine band. I have baby-sized wimpy wrists and I am still finding it super comfortable. I really wanted to get the silver version of the watch so that the dial indexes would be white instead of orange and the watch would be a bit shinier/dressier, but that was backordered. All told, I'm pretty happy with it aside from the insane pricing. The trail band looks like something I would get as a second band, but $80 is crazy talk. I ended up getting some 22mm adapters from Amazon and adapting some of my old Barton Leather bands from my previous Samsung watch.
If you look at the back of the buckle on the marine band, it does say titanium 😊. Also thanks for weighing them all, easy to compare as well as other aspects for different type of bands.
besides the orange color and the holes on sides the physical thickness of the marine band and the 2 hole lock system reminds me of gshock mudmaster solar atomic...
i have the marine band on my ultra, first note is, im left handed so my watch is on the right. while its comfortable with most activities, my only issue is the metal buckles rubbing the table when using i.e mouse on right hand. if the watch is worn on my left hand, it would be constantly rubbing on the table while writing. i wish they made those buckles with some strong plastic? other than this i love the rubber type of bands because you can just unclip it and wash it. i found the fabric types to absorb sweat and then you need to dry it. for left handers out there, i've swapped the longer on the top of the watch, short side on the bottom. found it to have less metal rubbing on things.
I have the marine band and the trail band and I use neither. I have a nylon band and a case that I use daily and 2 metal bands to go out. A black one and a stainless steel one. Thanks for the video.
I got the Marine band with my watch, and I really like it! I also got the Peak form band for a more traditional look, and like that one as well. I got the trail band as well, but didn't know about the sizing adjustment and returned it because it was too small. Oops!
My main problem with the Marine band is that it's shaped such that it lifts the watch off my Wireless Charger Duo. The Trail band needs to be removed from one side of the watch for it as well.
I have small wrists and I’m a bit concerned about big gaps between where the band/watch and my wrist meet up. Which band would you say lays closest to your wrist? Hopefully my question makes sense. Great video by the way 😎
Not a fan of the trail band due to it absorbing sweat and not something I want to wash and have to wait longer times for it to dry.. The Marine band is easier to wash and dry. I always wash take of the bands and wash the watch and bands after doing any strenuous exercise. I wash all 3 pieces with hand soap water. Also, I want the Forest green Marine band, but $80 plus tax, is way to much for a rubber watch band.
I love the typical sport tuck-under band, and Samsung has that kind of band for the regular Watch 7 but not the Ultra, so I hope they make one for the Ultra
There are adapters on Amazon that let you adapt 22mm (for older Gear S3 bands) and 20mm bands to fit the Ultra without paying the insane $80 samsung band tax. Highly recommended from my personal experience. They lock in solidly and now I can use my whole existing band selection.
I have the same issue with the marine band - just slightly too big. Do you prefer the trail band or peakform out of the 2? Trail band is appealing just because it doesn't seem to have obvious excess material.
Not really sure why Samsung decided to change the band attachment system from it's other watches. I would thing the standard pin system in most watches would be plenty secure given that watches that are more rugged than the Ultra use it.
Yeah, I have a brand new Samsung sport band that I bought in anticipation of getting a new watch. I didn't realize the watch ultra would be incompatible 😢
@nickydexgg4579 The new fitting is 100% better than the old pins ,much easier to change , and it blends in better with the watch body . I wouldn't go back to the old fitting after using the galaxy watch ultra .

Damn nice straps a lot more affordable than the cheapest aftermarket rubber for Panerai. And safer. I'll be selling my Panerai collection and getting used to this FDA approved medical device for its heart monitoring accuracy. My huge strap collection (mostly custom leather) will stay since we have these adapters. This watch is lighter than my Panerai models.

I've been trying to find the peakform band at a lower price like some of the other bands that copy the expensive ones that are from Samsung so if anybody knows where there's a clone of the peakform band under $10 I'd really appreciate it.
I have the silver titanium with marine band and honestly i hate the marine band its so thick and looks stupid i threw it away and bought a few bands from amazon. The only band that i would consider from samsung is the peakform band however its no where to be found so thats a nogo
I feel like these are just worse versions of the apple watch ultra bands. How would you say they compare as far as design and comfort? I like that they are cheaper but that seems like the only better difference
Why would you say they're worse versions? Especially if you haven't tried them?... They're watch bands... Apple isn't a leader in watch bands... It's like me saying Apple watch ultra bands are worse versions of Garmin bands.
@@Mgh101590 to me they are designed worse. The trail band is way to harder to adjust. I personally think the alpine is nicer than the peak form and theol marine one looks about equal on design. Just a preference from watching

Very true. I had an AW before and noticed i can wiggle the part where the band clips onto the watch. That goes for ALL apple watches not just ultra

The Peak Form band is as close to a "normal sport band" as it gets.

Yeah, I'm typically not a fan of proprietary attachments. However, the Ultra's band mechanism is quite nice!
