I like the way you tie - with minimal material and not overdressed. BTW congrats on your English it's a lot better than my Swedish. I'm on the Gaula this year and will give the Sunray a go - square cast and let it fish quickly with a downstream belly...... and wallop!!! Cheers Phil
Amazing. I;d heard of the Sunday, but had not got around to losing it up. I was so surprised to see tis predominantly black! Great series. I'm in Australia and fish for trout. bass and freshwater herring, but I really enjoy seeing these flies tied.:-)
@@TellisKatsogiannos It's funny... I fish waters in the Midwest of the USA and the sunray in different sizes and weights is all that I use. Even the smallmouth bass loves these!
I fish that fly with the hook on a dangle! Just a small plastic tube that covers the hook eye and knot. ut, you can also put a soft silicone tube over the metal tube and then you will have the hook mounted.

They are simple flies but deadly. I used to fish the Collie dog a lot in Scotland successfully. Must tie some of these for next season. Thank you.
And thank YOU for taking time to comment, highly appreciated!
Can jou show the hook mounted on that green body sunray?
