@@mason11198 the viola da Gamba is a family. In this family there is the equivalent of the cello, the violin, the viola and the double bass. The cello family was called the viola da braccio family in the past. In Italian braccio mean arm and Gamba leg. The viola da gamba are hold between legs and viola da braccio on the arm. Please excuse my english because i am french.
