The summer is supposed to be very hot and I will use them for an Alpine tour. I think my waterproof HD boots will be too warm for that. Of course they are not as high as touring boots and the water would probably run in at the top but they are on sale right now.. , we'll see... I love the look of these
Do you recommend these or the metractice if we consider the function only (not price or looks)? Are these more breathable (since they're gore-tex) or are they really similar?
@@berk2797 I ended up with the urbactive as it's made of goretex. metractive looked thicker so I wanted the more casual one. also I think metractive has more layers inside which is what makes it thicker and it also has a zipper. I think you won't go wrong with either
Hi. There are some difference between dainese urbactive and dainese urbanactive gtx? Or they are the same, but depending the country they called different names. Thaks in advance for the help.
The problem with casual trainers is that why do they not go throught the same impact tests as airbag vests? just makes you wonder. No mention of protection.
They look cool yes, but my issue with these sort of moto-trainers is that they tend to be very expensive for the level of protection they offer. A good pair of sport-touring motorcycle boots is just as comfortable and the level of protection is far, far superior.

Hi Miguel, There is only version of the Dainese Urbactive trainers :)

The soles look like they’re made of fig preserves
I thought the video title said they were "Unattractive Trainers" which I thought was a bit unnecessarily harsh.

It’s more about where you can wear them and look right while having a minimally acceptable level of protection
They don't look as cool as these though.
They have reinforced ankle supports and sole. Also, wearing a sport touring boot in an urban environment is ridiculous and looks unstylish.
