- Alistair is back in the shipping room for a look at the custom guitars leaving us for their new homes around the world. It's been a busy few months here at Emerald as we opened our factory and showroom, with lots of projects getting finished behind the scenes. We also had an amazing time on the first ever Emerald Music Tour with a jam packed week of live music in some beautiful locations.

I had a chance to visit the Emerald factory last year. We spent time going through the factory and it was a very informative time. Your new renovations are beautiful. It was worth the long trip, but getting to try all the different guitars would make it worthwhile to visit again. 3 Emeralds may then become 4, then 5……

Portent of the Northern Lights upon this reveal of so much positive change must have raised some goosebumps. Not superstitious by any measure, it’s still fun to imagine extraordinary forces at work foretelling an even more brilliant future, not that you seem to need any supernatural boost. Reality is where stuff that matters happens.

The finished additions to the factory looks fantastic Alistair. I was lucky enough to see the older factory when I picked up my X-7 there in 2016. I was privileged to get the new factory tour and attend the great concert by John Spillane in the Cottage in September 2022. I can't wait to see these finished spaces for myself.....I'll drop in some day I'm passing. Your passion for the guitars you produce is infectious and fulfilling your dreams after many years of hard graft is so well deserved. The very best of luck to you and your great team going forward.

Most beautiful guitars I’ve ever seen and your business looks amazing, All you need is to get one in to Alina Gingertails hands and you’d have your hands full. I know for one, I would make the trip from Texas to see that for sure . It would be a dream to try one for myself someday soon. Maybe in a year and half or so when I may be in that neighborhood. I have done a fair amount of work with carbon building surf, windsurf,Kiteboards, foils, and some of this crazy composite material called “Fat carbon” for shaping custom knife handles. I for one am a believer in the amazing things that be done with the material. I’ve also made a bunch of handles and jewelry from ancient Mammoth molar material which is also considered an exotic material. My next and probably last custom knife handle will be carbon with Mammoth inlays. Could be an amazing guitar inlay material maybe?

The Kingwood veneer on that lap steel is absolutely gorgeous. Normally I think that the Royal Ebony is the prettiest, but the Kingwood is a kockout.

Yes all custom orders with Hyvibe will now be the new model, there may still be some of the guitars in our stock section with the older hyvibe. The new model includes the tuner and looper and speaker features built in, same as the previous model. Stay tuned for a full demo and walkthrough of the hyvibe coming soon!
