I think Rukkhadevata DID 'die'. But in an Aranara's sense. She sacrificed herself to become the tree that everyone dwells in so the forest part of Sumeru could still thrive. Nahida/Kusanali would have to be her seed, who has her knowledge and memories, but not her consciousness necessarily. Think of her as a glorified Aranara.
I think it's the opposite, she has her conciousness because they are the same entity, but she lost all her memory and experience. This at least is what I understood about what happens to Aranara
Yes.. Dying in Aranaras sense is like losing your memory and returning into reformat stage..
what if, Rukkhadevata, just like the aranara, sacrificed herself and became a tree... a certain tree that spoke to the traveler with some haunting words...
Maybe the irminsul tree was injured and rukkhadevata gave up all her power (derived from dreams and knowledge) to heal it. Unfortunately memory of abyss has not fully healed and puts irminsul in danger.
And that tree is a leyline tree connected with the leylines which would explain why the statues of the seven are whispering creepy things at least in the Chinese version
@@Minsleif bruh Irminsul was already founded way before rukkadevata past away 🧠🤲
In the ending cutscene in the new archon quest we actually get information about this saying that Rukkhadevata used most of her power turning her form into a child
I think it has been obvious that Nahida is at least some sort of reincarnation of Rhukkhadevata but the new cutscene confirms Rhukkadevata's appearance to pretty much look the same as a grown up Nahida. We'll likely get confirmation in 3.2 but evidence is leaning towards Rhukkadevata = Nahida. The cutscene shows her giving up her power to create the life source things in the desert and turning into what looks like a carbon copy of Theresa Apocalypse from Honkai who she is based off of. Theresa has the body of a 12 year old I believe while Nahida is definitely much younger so she must've made a second sacrifice during the Cataclysm.
Also ties in with Kallen Kaslana's story where she sacrificed herself similar to what Rhukkadevata did.
Rukkhadevata and nahida same person just used to much power and turned into the dendro archon now and in some point of the sumeru archon quest Rukkhadevata gets removed from history because of something I haven't really know a lot of it because of the chasm world quest makes me stuck the underground quest.
I think the next archon quest will be about finding Nahidas memories and how she came to be. And your theory adds up perfectly and will tie into that. Rukkhadevatas last words "World forget me" may have something to do with the idea of the pursuit of infinite knowledge and how perhaps she somehow came to the conclusion that it was all meaningless and was frightened by a world only ruled by knowledge. We've already seen how its effected Sumeru negatively in the present time (The Akasha, Akademiya etc.)
Perhaps after coming to this realisation and because of the cataclysm and not knowing what the future holds for her people she ultimately gave up her power and stored it in the irminsul tree to preserve Sumeru, thus willingly becoming Nahida, the very thing her whole identity and reputation as the god of knowledge opposed whilst losing her memories in the process.
There are many examples of memories being stored in trees and how ley lines store memories as well. And all ley lines are connected to the irminsul tree and this concept is also expanded on in the aranara quests.
this was so beautifully said and it's also reminiscent of Lisa's conclusions about the Akademiya and the pursuit of Knowledge in her Vision Story. Thank you so much for your insight! I really hope we see more into the mind of Rukkhadevata like you said and hopefully it happens in 3.1!
I mean i think Kusanali is a copy of the Flower goddess, and the flower goddess had waterfall sleeves and her name was Anahida, Rukkhadevata adored the Flower goddess alot so it makes sense that she would use her power to make a copy of her.
This theory made me ugly cry just now I- 😭😭😭 Padisarah’s are gonna be more painful to look at. This is a beautiful theory!
I like this theory too. Perhaps it could be implemented somehow in the story?
@@anyaaa2801 I mean in the same way Barbatos choose the form of the bard, Rukkhadevata may have looked into her own memories as she made her final sacrifice and the comforting image of her dear friend was what kept her going… thus having a big impact in the way she looks on her new samsara.
Ok nvm, Kusanali is just shrunken down Rukkhadevata, BUT it was a good theory nonetheless.
Looks like you hit the nail of the head, with our newest cutscene and the implications.
Congratulations, you're correct all along.
personally I think Nahida is just a seed... She will grow into Rukkhadevata once she absorbs her memories from Irminsul... Similar to what Arama did absorbing the memories of Arana to become a tree... and the the real Rukkhadevata is actually the current Irminsul... the first Irminsul died during the Cataclysm and Rukkhadevata had to plant herself to become a tree. Leaving behind Nahida, her seed, to absorb her memories and be reborn when the time comes.
So in summary, Rukkhadevata possibly encountered smth very dangerous in kaenri'ha (and maybe was hurt too) so she sacrificed everything and reverted back to when she was a child god but then that would leave a plot hole: Nahida seems to have dreams-like powers like the previous goddess of flowers (?). So were Rukkha and the flowers goddess born with the same powers or something?
Right exactly I mean that’s gonna that’s gotta be that answer too u know but we just might be waiting until it’s like 3.7 just come out yet but we not know yet for when it’s nahida second story quest when we find answer what’s going on to her life
there is the possability they just shared similar powers lime how andrius and venti can use the same element but andrius can also use cryo. Perhaps the dendro archon and goddess of flowers share the power of dreams but the dendro archon also have life/memories related powers
The fact that this theory is 100% accurate after the 3.1 update 😂
@@sungii did u even pay attention to the 3.2 archon quest? rukkhadevata already explained it
Its confirmed, i just did act 4
This aged well~
Fucking called it
Omg this theory was right, i mean RUKKHADEVATA IS LITERALLY A MORE MATURE NAHIDA JUST LIKE BRONYA AND OLDER BRONYA OMG
So basically all the Archons we have so far are the original Seven, but with a twist.
Mihoyo:ding dong right on the money
well this theory was confirm by new archon.
I heard a similar theory by island XD. But the they you explain it with your lore examples leaves no room for doubts. I really look forward to mihoyo and how they progress with the archon quest.
I uploaded a short on this this past weekend! (on TikTok and here but I reuploaded the short on Monday to make the video more condensed!) 😍 I know this was fairly popular on Reddit as well but I hope you enjoyed the results of our research into this theory 🥰💙 and I agree! I’m so excited to see 3.1’s Archon Quest because 3.0 started so strong!
agree that nahida is rukkha's reincarnation. Bunch of clues:
1. story is about samsara (archon) and reincarnation (aranara)
2. Sages found nahida straight after rukkha's death/disappearance. It's impossible unless they are in the same place
3. How sages can tell that nahida is the archon unless gnosis is there and only celestia can appoint new archon. unless rukkha and nahida is the same
4. How come the statue of seven looks like nahida when no one in sumeru knows how she looks. it means that the statue is based on rukkha
5. during quest, nahida said that she's the first akasha terminal and who created the akasha system.... rukkha
Uhmm it was already in the story quest tho that Rukkhadevata is Kusanali.. she just shrunk lol
AYO THIS AGED SO WELL WTF
This was a good one! I can't wait to find out more. Thanks for you're awesome lore streams
This aged like fine wine
As of me writing this, 3.1 has been released and this theory has been confirmed to be true! Kudos to you for piecing everything together!
Unless I missed something, I wouldn’t say it’s quite confirmed, more like heavily implied.
@@fishiefish6179 "she exhausted her strenght, and her form became that of a small child"
@@heenthousiast383 yeah but that still doesn’t say explicitly that they are the same person. To be honest though I do believe that they are the same person at this point, I’m just being pedantic
3.2 came and they are technically not the same just came from the same origins. So technically shes ruka but also not
This aged well. Good video and confirmed that nahida isa rukkadevata. And paimon is...
Damn this video just spot on!! U r genius!
Really interessting theory! I like it!
In the Archon Quest Nahida also said that she was the moon and the real sun was long gone, and I think the divination said if you trust your instincts the sun would return or something like that. So I was wondering since then if maybe Rukkhadevata could return. Nahida being Rukkhadevata makes sense and maybe she'll get her memories back somehow.
Regarding her birth I was also suspicious. How did the Sages find her and how did they know she was the new Archon?? Maybe we just don't know enough about the process of becoming an Archon yet.
But also maybe some of the Sages back then knew that Nahida was actually Rukkhadevata and kept it a secret so they could take over Sumeru? Would that make sense?
YES especially when the light source of the moon is just the reflection of the Sun's light! and I agree with you too regarding the Sages. I feel like it'd be a slap to their faces if this were to be true!
Yes they are. Rukkhadeveta turned into a child after using all of her power, aka kusanali
Who's here after coming to know its confirmed in game now😁
yes it is clear confirmation that Nahida is Rukkhadevata herself. She became small after using so much Her power. The visuals in the video (Archon story) also really depict the adult version of Nahida, so it's very clear. Similar to guoba's case at the moonchase festival. The reason is also clear why Irminsul made Nahida's voice saying "the world forget me". Because She is the real Rukkhadevata herself, so sad because she Does not remember her true identity as Rukkhadevata, and most of the people of Sumeru especially the ACADEMIA do not consider Her existence. I can't wait to see Academia's, especially the SAGES reaction when they find out that nahida is a Rukkhadevata who has become small
@Minsleif there is a daily commission in inazuma on the island of ritou where the sumeru merchant asks us to help him make fertilizer for him because he doesn’t have access to the Anahitian blessing, which is made by Kusanali herself, that may have been one of our first clues from as early as 2.1
Jeeeezzz, the greater lord and Nahida is the same person, this is so shockingly canon
This was incredible Min!! It's funny to think how something so "obvious" can turn out to be so interesting... the death and birth aligning. Glad I wasn't the only one who couldn't help but think this could mean something much greater!
Also the paimon ending GOOSEBUMPS lol!
I stumbled on your video while working and I FELL IN LOVE WITH YOUR VOICE!
As someone whom speedrun 3.1, this age well like osmanthus wine
it's really fascinating that your theory is spot-on and confirmed with the recent update

this is true cuz its confirm in archon quest
NAHHHHH UR EDITING IS ACTUALLY INSANE !! ur crushing it captain
So interesting 💚 Looking forward to more of your Sumeru lore analysis, especially since I blasted through the quests 😅

You really did something….
Whenever I hear your Paimon voice, I mistake it for actual game audio. It’s so spot on!
YALL IT WAS PROVEN IN A CUTSCENE KUSNALI IS A VERSION OF RUKKHADEVATA THAT LOST HER MEMORIES
Omg your theory is true she is the greater lord rukhadevata, its COMFIRM!!!!! AHHH!!!
A little off topic, but your voice is extremely soothing and is honestly one of the reasons why i watch your videos as I’m trying to fall asleep. ASIDE FROM THAT HAVE A GOOD DAY AND AMAZING VIDEO AS ALWAYS!!!

I was having a trip down nostalgia looking for a old Japanese song and I find your yt channel, how nice despite the extremely sad world quest I just finished in the desert 😂
I may found another channel who's good in lore theory. Keep it up!
Came back to here coz i think you were right about your theory abt the former dendro archon turning to nahida! Wowwww! Subcribed!!
That last part is very intriguing. Very good video thanks.
Wow maginificent ! I can't to see what HYV in the Archon quest ends up revealing to us about the origins of Nahida but your theory is on point Min ! Love it !
idk why but you make the lore so much more understandable than the massive blocks of texts some quests tend to have
I love your voice! Its quite relaxing 😌

3.1 and the fact that your theory is almost exact is incredible
Love this video pls make more!!! (I'm too old to watch stream....)

Yeah, most likely she is given how she was shown in video(have elf ears, similar hair color, probably dressing style too) about king scarlet, showing rukkhadevata shrinking to a kid
After the archon quest, this is so on spot
The fact this is spot on,after the second archon quest in 3.1 that revealed everything
just thought about this video, this aged so wellllll thank u
another fav channel unlocked
Got it completely right
This aged like a fine wine
Yes, it's true
Congrats you were actually right for guessing that they're the same.
Plot twist: The devs have their spies on videos like this so that they can refine the story.
Another reason she may be Rukkhadevata is because so far all the other archons had to "ascend to Celestia" to earn their Gnosis. If she just has her gnosis, where did she get it from? Ruka. She retained it.
aged like wine
Well , this theory was near perfect it is really obvious rukka and kusa are same person. if we look out what happened / ongoing in game. Love your videos.
Really excited how the archon story progress at 3.1 and 3.2
glad i stumbled upon this channel
I'm just here to say. It's official
I always thought that Paimon was probably a shade of the Primordial One but now that I saw theories about Paimon being a seelie i don’t know what to think anymore 😭
You do know that those are just theories and not confirmed right? Their “evidences” may or may not be exaggerated unless proven.

U were right. Good job👏
THIS IS SO ON SPOT😭😭💕💕
Your theory is 100 percent right .
Nice. You got it exactly right
the way you predicted it omg slay
Who came here after the 3.1 archon quest (king deshreet)
Great breakdown of her lore
The voice for Rukkhadevata sounds very similar to Nahida also which might not be a coincidence
Well isn’t that something 😂
The connection of water makes sense to me. I did research on the name Varuna, which is what the Aranara later called the Abyss Sibling (Nara Varuna). The name "Varuna" is an Indian Male name that has two different meanings. One is that is has a strong connection to water and the purification of water, so Nahida having connections to that water goddess makes sense there. The other is that it literally means "God" so the fact that it has that name and they gave that name to the Abyss sibling is . . . telling, to say the least.
Honestly, I think you're right for two reasons myself. One is a story that I've heard going around for a while now and that's a book in the game that tells the story of a man who fell in love with a tree spirit. His king told him to cut down the tree and a god told him that if he replanted it, everything would be okay. He then followed the instructions of the king and the god and when he replanted the tree, a new tree and new spirit grew, a reincarnation or regeneration of the previous spirit. It's possible that these gods are like time lords in Doctor Who. You can try to kill them, but they'll only take on a new form and might forget some aspects of their previous life. The other is the message we hear the tree say that's supposed to be from the previous archon. If you ask me, the voice sounded strangely like Nahida. I actually thought it was Nahida and it was because she doesn't see herself as a real archon or something, which turned out to be true, but she's a lot less self loathing than I imagined her to be.
I love the tree spirit story so much it’s so underrated and thank you so much for that analysis of Varuna!!
There are so many hints about Rukkhadevata and Makoto.
My theory is that Rukkhadevata and Makoto's reason to visit the abyss was to "fix" the severely damaged Irminsul tree right after the cataclysm. Istaroth has to be involved in some way for sure. There is no way that she was mentioned only for the sacred sakura in inazuma.
An unexpected "thing" leaked out from the contaminated Irminsul tree, and I think it is very likely the cause why the new Irminsul tree is still incomplete/contaminated.
Ayyyee I enjoyed the theory and your speaking flow is really nice. Got a sub :)
Also oof that little Paimon thing at the end, is that a reference to doki doki?
This was an amazing video! 100/10 Paimon was a great adition
oooooooh nice theory!
There are primodial gods and demon in demonology like paimon itself and baal and yes from my perspective Kusanali or Nahida are actualy Ishtar or Rukhadevata itself and she is like empty shell for Rukhadevata incarnates or avatars. This explains the Line "The World Forget" in irminsul cutscenes.
Now during v3.1, indeed, Kusanali is a weakened form of Rukkhadevata and they are the same person!!
I’ve been convinced of this since we first heard that tree speak and we couldn’t find anything anywhere about Kusansli
A very nice and thought out theory. Another theory is that the Dendro archon felt pity for the Desert King's fall into madness that she traded her powers to make a copy or brought back the Goddess of Flower.
Have you also explored the theory that Paimon is a seelie?
Me enjoying here as a Persian and yeah Nahida or Nahid is actually a Persian name^^there is a poem book which is really one of the best ones in Persian history named"Shahname" where Nahida is a queen
Nahida is also an Arabic name and an Arabic word which translates to “someone elevated/delightful” and is the female counterpart of “Nahid”
also in 3.2 were getting scaramouche lore, with him n mother me thinks, so it might hsve to do something w it :o
You were right !

The only thing I hates about sumeru was the lack of Hindu lore that could have been written into it. There was so much missed opportunity! Plus, nahida was supposed to be based on saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge but they are really are not much alike.
