The soup is called Bissara. The one you had is peas, the other one is made from broad beans. The long fish is called whittings, same family as Cod. Enjoy
Was it peas or fava beans which is the major ingredient in ‘Bissara’ or ‘Bayssar’ depending where you are in Morocco. Welcome to Morocco- from Moroccan American & enjoy 🇲🇦🇺🇸❤️
Great couple showcasing a positive energy and spreading happiness! It was great to see Morocco through your eyes and you are most welcome in your second country.
THANKS for sharing your videos , for your contagious positive energy & for your refreshing smiles... I hope you enjoyed your stay in morocco. Wherever you go, go with all your heart (Confucius).. BIG SALAM from casablanca to both of you .. Peace & Love PS: the Scottish accent is the most charming in the English-speaking world. My dream trip is going to Scotland, sitting in a pub and listen to them talk.
We're delighted with your special visit to Morocco, particularly the city of Tangier. I was impressed by the way you detail the cities to clarify the information. Thank you for your visit, and we welcome everyone. ❤️
Awwww, I'm sooooo glad you guys had a fantastic time . Moroccan hospitality is AMAZING!!! Wishing you continued success, happiness, joy, love and endless blessings always ❤❤❤
Enjoy your travel.. Don't forget to visit Fes, Rabat(the capital of Morocco it's very clean), Marrakech,Essaouira,Agadir,Moroccan Sahara(Merzouga, Ouarzazate,Laayoune , Dakhla). In Morocco if you change the city it's like you travel to other country😊 This is the variety of Morocco😊 Welcome again and have fun😅
We love you and welcome to Morocco, you good open minded, easy going people and we love having people like you thank you so much for your visit much appreciated.🙂🙂
How wonderful you are, owner of Al Bashir Restaurant in Tangier. I am proud that you are from the family because all the customers I have sent to the restaurant thank me for the seriousness and treatment you give them first and foremost, and the delicious dishes and tender meat, whether fish or chicken. I raise my hat to you, Mr. Ahmed.
that soup is called Bissara and its a must in winter and cold days ... thank you for showing Morocco the way it is and being faire ... the fish your girlfriend ate is called whiting its related to the cod.
This Moroccan programmer should be working, but here I am smiling at Alan enjoying chicken liver, and heck yeah man, liver / kefta ( that Marrakesh sandwish right ? ;) )can never go wrong, welcome around, happy you both are having a blast
Also, yes, bissara is the best.. the one you had there is probably beans ( and / or peas ), national fav especially during winter times, can be a mix of both
Bissara Hmmm I like it . A special winter dish. It is impossible to find it in the summer. It warms the human body quickly against the cold! And it is healthy too, believe me.
13:11 Shannon, you're such a sport being open minded enough to continue to try something you don't like. I love chicken livers. At the same time, I'm always telling people if you don't like it, you haven't had a good version of it. Discovered you two via your China adventures which is my main interest. You're one of the few who have earned following beyond China. Keep doing what you're doing-but be safe. ; )
Im jealous. 32 days till Marrakech- not that im counting. Try Harira soup and definitely R'fissa. Its the food of the gods.😂 The soup you had was Bissara.(fava bean) great for breakfast with a sprinke of cumin and chilli.
Go to rabat you will love it its more civilised and modern and clean and has everything and ticks all boxes…also casablanca is big and has a lot to do and see
Good couple, wht i like is ur simplicity, eating with ur fingers, big welcome from a moroccan, enjoy ur trip ur not gonna regret it, that soup is called bisara، it is beans soup
That's great, but I hope you do the same when you're back in your own country-treat a visitor/ foreigner to a free meal or show some hospitality. It's sad how tourists enjoy all the hospitality gestures while traveling but often forget about them once they're back home. So, pay it forward!
For couscous most places don't serve it everyday it's usually just Friday , in morocco we have a tradition of eating couscous on Fridays and moroccan couscous is very time consuming and labor intensive that it's not worth it if you are only going to sell about a dozen a day , some restaurants have like a rotation of popular traditional dishes like couscous on friday and rfissa on sunday or monday this kinda of arrangement.
As someone who was born in Morocco and lived half my life there and other half in UK, when I had fish and chips first time in UK, I was like these guys have no idea how real fish taste. Unfortunately fish in UK is frozen old by few days and have fishy smell. What make Morocco fish experience unique is the amount and variety of fish which gather at the Moroccan cost, the amount of natural fish the Moroccan cost produce feed almost whole Europe, big boats from all over Europe sign a contract with Morocco to allow them fishing on the Moroccan coasts, this even include China and Russia coming all the way to Morocco. Unfortunately the fine fish will only make it to the most expensive restaurant in the UK in a short period and will be costly, the other fish in the uk markets are coming from different countries sea side and mostly from lakes which make the fish have no sea smell and frozen for many weeks

For Muslims, guests are a blessing, so they try their best to treat them well.
Religion have nothing to do with this. Stp*d!

The soup is called Bissara. The one you had is peas, the other one is made from broad beans. The long fish is called whittings, same family as Cod. Enjoy
