Actually the reason people remember Pikachu having a black tip tail was because in the early two thousands third party companies would illegally sell pokemon products and they had to alter them slightly.
Nah, it’s a way to distinguish between gender for Pikachus. Make Pikachus had a yellow tail, and female Pikachus had a yellow tail with a black tip

About the Pikachu one, there actually is a variant of Pikachu in the games that has a black marking on her tail, which might be why a lot of people think that.
Edit: yes guys I'm aware the Pikachu in the video is male but the specific Pikachu I'm referring to can only be female.

Bro I hate people who misgender Pokémon. No offence but I am a crazy Pokémon fanatic and the Pikachu that was shown in this video is in fact a male shown by the fact there is a lightning bolt on its tail. This is the same with ash’s Pikachu. A female Pikachu would have a heart shape on the tip of its tail. Pikachu has a 50:50 gender ratio but it is mostly seen as male as the pikachu on all Pokémon logos is a male Pikachu. Case closed @OshawottCat

You just reminded me of a really dark joke I made today. I was walking into a building with a friend, and a girl on an electric wheelchair was on her way into the building (someone was with her) and I told my friend that he should move so that she could pass. He joked saying that he’s disabled too (he isn’t) and I said “well at least you can stand up for yourself”

The messed up part is, someone on reddit did a deep dive into the fruit of the loom one and they DID have a copyright from WAY WAY back for the exact design we all remember with a drawing including in the copyright info paper. It's just there's no instances of them supposedly ever using it in person despite all of us remembering seeing the logo.
I remember in elementary school having to do an art thing for Thanksgiving that included a cornucopia and I literally just traced the fruit of the loom logo from a print out. I still have that art project to this day with the logo trace I did alongside the crudely drawn pilgrims and natives. It HAD to be used somehow or someway, because literally everyone I've ever met remembers the cornucopia, even if they've never heard of the Mandela affect. They'll always say "the logo was a basket tipped over with fruits coming out".

There are some Monopoly sets with him wearing the monacle on the money, also some peices of clothing had the design with a cornucopia.

Another company uses a logo similar to fruit of the loom, that’s why we misremember that one.

Pikachu actually looks different on different things like on western promotional materials or toys he’s got the black stuff

Pikachu has a bit of brown at his bottom where his tail connects, and he has two brown stripes on his back. There has never been any black on his tail though.
If you do not believe me, I have at least 30 official plushies to tell you otherwise.
Its fun that he later exposed these Mandela effects, like that the Monopoly man had a monocle in one version of the game, which is pretty old. And that picture of him was also the one he had a monocle in.

In my personal opinion, all of these are Mandela effects from a very potential timeline switch in July 2022. If you don’t know what a Mandela effect is, it’s where one group remembers something one way and the other remembers it a different way. The best example I can give the the Berinstain versus Berenstien bears, iykyk.
Edit: with the timeline switch, I have no memory of how it possibly happened, so don’t quote me on it.
