I can understand your worries regarding your condition. Again i reassuure you that we are with you ok Alex. Now i will explain you the possible complication.
Setting: Home visit Nurse: You are visiting Clara, a 6-week old child, to perform preliminary health checks to assess the child's development. Their hearing, vision, height and weight are normal. Now you want to provide the child with its first vaccinations. Task: . Find out if there are any questions/concerns before you administer vaccinations. Explain the parent has the right to refuse vaccinations, but emphasise the lack of evidence that vaccines cause autism (the ingredients have been tested on animals, autism is found around the same time as vaccines are given etc.). . Explain the risks of not having vaccinations (e.g. the child might contract whooping cough, hepatitis B or polio, especially if surrounded by other children who are not immunised). . Explain that these diseases can have serious consequences and/or be fatal. Conditions like whooping cough are also very contagious, and can last for up to three months after treatment. They can cause severe complications in babies. . Try to persuade the parent to allow the vaccinations today.
