@@herom123 tbh, i would've expected only 2 screenshots - full open and full close.
Maybe 16 more to set up dynamic grid for definition of pixel taking in account field of view.
Then just use software to cut result out for every frame based on black/white pixel grid.
Yeah, i know, that's basically cheating. But it would've worked.

This is my favorite "Bad Apple but..." So far. Something about the transitions feels more satisfying than most, likely because there's less motion blur and a nice texture on the black areas.

I think this is a first time for me where the meme version actually looks better than the original, the gradient and slight pixelization makes it look so cool; and, somehow, a tad nostalgic
It reminds me of the flipnote hatena version
Most likely recorded visuals slower to be able to match Minecraft ticks and preserve framerate for the final product and then video re-aligned to the default playback speed of the song via two points to assure that it matches correctly. That's how I would have done it. Otherwise, this person's computer is just fucking insane (or a French fry).
The fire surely looks better in the trapdoor version

This made me realize how many possibilities there are to play Bad Apple just in Minecraft alone. If there's a way to show black and white, you damn well know there's a way to display Bad Apple on it
It doesn’t even have to be black and white. You could play it with water and lava or something, there just has to be two contrasting colors. Rule 86 of the internet, if it exists, you can play bad apple on it

@@tommyhetrick im assuming this is due to their being a two tick delay with redstone etc, but isnt there a new method with the copper bulb were it can give out one tick pulses? would this be viable to make it without needing frames removed?

The resolution made by trapdoors alone is so crisp and ridiculous I LOVE IT
Interestingly, I like this more than the original. The way iron trapdoors opening create a 'wave'/'texture' for the black makes the animations and figures stand out with way more depth.
The texture isn't from trapdoors opening and closing, it's just the Moire pattern from the black tiles

you gotta be dumb, this is fake buddy, to do pixle by pixle u have to spend months to to years to animate that by goig up and down and replaying the doors, use ya brains.
I think touhoh fans reached a point where coding feels like a bullet hell, once they have mastered it, nothing can get through them

nothing. they are being setblock. I think it would have been far too laggy to be opening or closing sometimes 40,000 trapdoors at the same time. it would have been cooler, but also would have taken like 24 hours to render
it is also not in realtime. it took about 120x longer than realtime. It is made up of a bunch of screenshots, so there is no sound at all. (also I forget to record sound anyway as you can tell in the beginning when I was doing an actual screen recording)
@@tommyhetrick new challenge: do it with only redstone (probably impossible unless every trapdoor is spread out a ton)

If the trapdoors had an actual rotation animation, I wonder what that would look like with this.
I think the transitions between frames would look blurred.
It was done using set block commands and screenshots, so even with such an animation it wouldn't show here.
My best guess would be like an lcd screen with really bad pixel response times

@@tomikun8057 if I remember tnt dupers had some issues in an area with ridiculous updates such as areas with lag machines, to be specific pistons lossing the ability to push as the top part wouldn't spawn or update, I believe it also applies to entity being spawned or latency issues that this absolute unit could do when nearby.
Might work on lan though, who knows I might be wrong but please explain to me where, I feel like I might have a misunderstanding.
@@DummyDumDumb Minecraft updates by the tick, it's why it's single threaded. Unless it's using forge which has multithreading or something else, there shouldn't be any problems
