    A big part of why this works for me is because of the visuals. Unfortunately, my professor has a tendency to write all over the board and it's very hard to keep up. I really like this explanation because it's all in one place!!

    the problem with professors is that they wanna focus on theory as to why we do this, and you just solve it. I think a professor needs to balance between both to be good. Great Video!!

      We tend to avoid any symbols that might be confused for the variable "x." Other solutions to this are to use a small dot, or extra parenthesis like in the video. As long as everyone understands you mean to multiply, feel free to use the notation that feels the most comfortable. :^D

    do we devide it with the sum of the ''weights''?

    • @MySecretMathTutor
      @MySecretMathTutor  5 років тому +1

      Yes. Check out the bottom of the formula at 0:16, that is where we are taking the sum of the weights. When I get to the example a little bit later in the video, the sum of the weights is 100, so you'll see it divided on the bottom. :^D

    Wdym by weight? Weight as in ounces or what lol?

    • @MySecretMathTutor
      @MySecretMathTutor  5 років тому +2

      Weight in this context is just a number that is being multiplied by a value. You can use this to give certain values more consideration in a formula. For example..... ( (1.00)10 + (1.00)6 ) / 2
      Here I'm adding 10 and 6 together and then dividing by 2. Each of these is also multiplied by 1.00 as a weighting factor. Since 1.00 is the same for both, they are both equally considered.
      ( (.30)10 + (1.00)6 ) / 2
      This is similar but I've changed the weighting, or multiplied number, on 10. This means as we go to calculate, the 10 will not contribute as much.

    We have all sinned and fallen short of Gods glory sin is terrible because of sin we are separated from God but gladly here is the good news Jesus Christ came and walked this earth for everyone taught us the perfect way to live and how we should live and he died for our sins because we need a sacrifice to pay the price for our sins since our sins deserve hell if we live in sin but also more good news Jesus rose from the dead three days later we have to leave the sin behind and put it away and live new with Jesus this world is like a vapor it passes away but your eternity is forever and it is up to you what you want to do with it Jesus Christ is coming soon….
