Force Ripe is a compelling drama about the traumatic experience of a young girl who has experienced episodes of abuse from her mother and stepfather. Tiffany, a 15 year-old with ambitious dreams of rising above the inner-city community by sitting CXC’s to pursue a career in journalism tackles severe oppression and obstacles, the biggest being her ‘caregivers’ . The issues are strong and impactful: the implications of verbal, sexual and physical abuse on children, parenting, values and attitudes among youth, suicide, early sexual initiation and pursuit of education amidst challenges and much more.
