- Prominent Political commentator, & Founder Editor of Daily Times, Najam Sethi, has warned that growing confrontation between Judiciary and Establishment will end up in Emergency or worst: Martial Law.
Najam Sethi is a very intelligent and informed analyst, but in this case his analysis misses a few important points. I explain why Martial Law will not suit the duo of present Army Chief, Gen Asim Munir and Nawaz Sharif. They will become casualties if martial law is imposed -especially Nawaz Sharif. I explain what Pakistan’s history tells us?

When ever you talk about Najam sethi you present him Genius please if he was mentor doesn't mean he had a great intellectual. I have never seen him doing something special for the country except taking lavish positions from Nawaz sherif or switching his hats from journalist to Chairman of PCB. So please don't praise him all the time. I think someone ordinary journalists are way much respectful and have more dignity than him in pakistan. Najam Sethi didn't get his due share in the current authoritarian regime for which he struggled hard. He played a mediatory role between Nawaz sharif and the others, so much so he released a picture of himself and Nawaz sharif sailing in a boat in London.but failed to grab what he wanted. Najam Sethi is frustrated, so disgruntled Najam Sethi is spilling his beans. The moment he is accommodated he will flip his tape record glorifying the establishment and the puppet regime.
In Pakistan he is not considered an intellectual person, on the contrary his dubious role as taut is very much there.
Basically Najam Sethi was saying Pakistanis should accept kidnapping, torture and beatings and judiciary should look the others way otherwise there will be martial law.

I must say i was a little disappointed in you being ur regular follower because you always speak so highly of Najam Sethi (no doubt he is an intelligent person) but i also listen to his program daily and it feels that he is on an agenda but you never highlighted or shared your thoughts about Najam's biased commemtry and always appreciated him or ignored the kind of misunderstanding he creates for his listeners who might have less overall understanding that helps them justifying what establisment and pmln in their hearts.
