Apologies, I just now saw this. Did you decide on a headset or would you like more help? Dogs are tough block out. At best, you can suppress their sound and have your voice be heard. What platform/application are you using for calls? Are you allowed to download headset software?
I just bought this head set noise canceling mic does not seem to work picks up all background noise.. any tips to help improve noise cancellation in mic . Thanks

Hi Mendel, thanks for watching and supporting our channel! I don’t do anything special. I approach it like any end-user would. Here’s my process: 1. I unbox the headset. 2. Charge it if needed. 3. Download the appropriate software-like in this case, Yealink USB Connect (you can find it here: www.yealink.com/en/product-detail/usb-connect-management). 4. I make sure both the software and the headset firmware are fully up to date. 5. Then, I connect the headset to my computer and select it as the input/output audio source in my Sound Settings and in collaboration apps like Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet. That's all I do. When you say, "You can hear everything," are you referring to what you hear or what the party on the other end of the line hears? In this video, I test the noise-canceling microphone. This is what other people hear when I'm speaking to them via this headset.
@CallOneInc thanks for the response thank got I was able to figure it out there was some chrome privacy settings that made the mic source for a chrome webphone come from my laptop and not my headset. But now all is good

Why do u get no background noise but with my set you can hear everything
