I feel the same way you do and think the world needs more Mock Orange Bushes, too! Thanks for your thorough explanation. It was very helpful to see exactly what to do. And, now, I'm off to get some cuttings!
Thanks from Adelaide in Sth Australia this is so very helpful, practical & I love that u don’t fluff about or rave on unnecessarily. Will be back xxx❤❤❤
Love both plants. It’s incredibly hard to find bay in Montreal. And mock orange is like you said. They make the world a better place
I agree with you about Mock Orange. Little red haired girl is adorable.
Mock oranges grow very fast in full sun with lots of moisture, they are hydrangea's cousins after all... also you absolutely may stick multiple in a pot, they may not be all a success, but they root very well... if your friend is a good one, ask them to dig a couple of MO suckers, that way you will have an established blooming plant right away... trim them down by 2/3 immediately after blooming, they will thank you with beautiful new growth and next year bloom, good luck!!!!
So happy to have found the mock orange cuttings video....I am trying to save a huge mock orange shrub....approx. 40 years old.....reno's require the removal....but I love the shrub. I will try this and hope it will work. Thank you!
Mockorange scent is heavenly
+Lilly Sky i agree - it was the smell alone that made me get one.
Great video! Very professional - Perfect terminology, growing media and practice. Thanks
I always look forward to the wonderful smell of the mock orange that is in bloom right now. Thanks for the info.
Mine is a little behind this year, but the buds are looking promising! Thank you for watching.
"World would be a better place, if it all smelled of bubble gum". I couldn´t agree more!
Very well explained, thank you, also thanks for explaining why we have to do certain steps.

Good job! I like this method!
Question, how long will it take for me to start seeing roots? And is July do i still have time to do this or should i wait for next spring? Thanks for the helpful video!
Hiya, the mock orange should give you roots this year if you take the cuttings after flowering, and the bay will take a bit longer, I'd put the bay cuttings in and then leave till next year at least. Hope this helps.
Hi there! Very nice video. Propagated Mock Orange is expensive here in Hawaii but a friend have them for a hedge. 2 questions. Is this a slow growing plant? When propagating, can you put 2 stems in 1 pot or is it necessary only to put one? Thank you.

cool
Why do you put them on the side tho?
Stops them sitting in sodden compost in the middle of the pot, its tricky getting the balance between keeping them moist and not letting them dry out. Hope that helps!
Oh good. I have a beautiful huge mock orange in my garden. I'm going to try this to grow a whole row of them next year.
