THANK ARCEUS MY VIDEO IS HERE! Oh Ross. I always get so very excited when you release a new one of these videos. Thanks so much for everything that you put into these videos ❤
In my opinion, Lv. X cards were the best 'rules box' Pokémon the game ever had in terms of game mechanics. The limitation in that they had to be played onto an active Pokémon of the same name and the fact that they counted as the same name as the regular Pokémon when deck building meant that you never needed more than 2 copies of any Lv X card in a deck. The cards also nearly always had unique abilities/attacks - I really enjoyed the DP and Pt series of sets.
"lightning decks were not everywhere back then." good times, good times it feels like it has been a decade of lightning decks being really good and it's been like a year and a half.
Now we're talking. The Bastiodon deck was one I got for Xmas way back, and really got me going in the Pokemon TCG again. I tweaked it a bit and it became my strongest deck. Until I made a deck based on Garchomp that was even better. Even today it's still standing strong; I played against a friend who had a Sun & Moon deck just for fun. Miraculously I won.
About that Palkia Lv. X though, what was stopping your opponent from just trapping it in the active w/ its own Poké-Power? I don't think Float Stone existed at that point, so what kind of out did it have for itself? Just Switch?
switching style cards were very common during this era and if that didn't work for you Moonlight Stadium from Great Encounters could be used and you would bring Palkia up after a knockout use his power and retreat the Dark or Psychic type for free
first set with a holo boarder????? alot of ex cards from gen 3 looked the same what u on about lol like every ex card out of unseen forces ruby sapphire and the list goes on. defuck lmao
In the words of Oliver Twist, "Please sir, can I have some more?" I miss this series and hope that one day it will continue :)
I literally just thought "hey where's my history video?", checked and was uploaded a minute ago. Yay!
You are a magician
Can't stop watching this series

I got loads of D&P cards when I was younger, but I don't recall ever getting anything from this set
Too bad. You would have been wealthy selling those cards

The set where the last Abra had been released
Hahahahahaha
Yay my favorite gen, I wish there was a new card set themed around sinnoh.
Isn't Ultra Prism not enough for you?
Just wait for the remakes
Its insane how about a year ago the secret rare card was $22 and now its worth about $120!!! Pokemon cards are getting ridiculously expensive.
I was playing back when this came out! I had no idea of what I was doing :P But I do remember that I used that Garchomp
Ooh, I got that Buizel as a kid. This might be the first set, where I really got the cards new, and not secondhand.
I started with Crystal Guardians & Power Keepers, so I know all of these sets now!
Love these videos!

Why they printed a card with the same name as of the name of 1 pack?
