@@Moonwaterz-nh9sfHe's not the person doing the Deluge. He made the presets Jeremy talked about in the video. But a lot of these instruments and people were influenced by Monome. I remember being mindblow when I saw the videos of NIN using it in the studio some 15 years ago.
Great video! Someone else may have commented about this already, but for owners of the OG Thyme, Bastl has made the new firmware backwards-compatible. Also, did Freeze mode get a mention? That’s a whole other realm of looping madness. Once some sounds are “frozen”, pressing Function + Freeze / Sync changes tape speed so that the buffer gets transposed up or down by octaves. It’s 🍌
nice Im really happy with this release .finally a thyme update robust hardware version. looks like they fixed their hardware issues of the last one. I will buy one for sure now.
Man would love to see you do an actual mixdown on one of these videos from recording instruments to mixing to mastering. Would fricking love your tips and tricks. You get amazingly loud and crystal clear mixes.
.... you said ... you'd stop. the envelope follower abilities are quite nice... now I need to figure out how to do this w/o buying something... but it seems that the Thyme can "send" that envelope follower to any/all destinations? If so that is going to be hard to replicate :/ THNX
now at the end... I see, this might not be something to create with modules... the sequencing of saved presets... my brain is not able to process the process. weird day, sorry :D
Why would someone build something that's noisy and digital, and then call that normal. That I find hard to grasp. I can hear the hiss even on my laptop speakers...
You can do downward ramp by inverting the polarity of the upward ramp: Robot + Freeze
Brilliant
Beat me to it!
So I'm the Boards of Deluge person. Thank you so much for your kudos! :) Have fun with these sounds! :)
Amazing work
Was it inspired by Monome Grid?

Thanks for the overview! Helped me remember what was what on the Thyme, it has been a while.
I know you got tired of doing them but I still really enjoy your gear walk throughs and reviews. This was great, thank you!
BASTL did it again, amazing machine, so much movement!
fun seeing you using the deluge again!
This was brilliant. Thank you for this video! Big thanks from BASTL TEAM
Wanted one since Cuckoo's video of the original and was sad to see it disappear from Bastl's site, very happy to see this. My wallet however won't be.
That jam at the end with the envelope follower was so much fun to listen to! Great demo man.
So so happy it's back. I miss my og
So happy.. I missed out on the thyme originals, been hoping they'd do a new one

I love me some sequenced robot delay modulation in the afternoons. Sounds great!
I always wanted the original. Kinda neat they did an upgrade.

Great overview - thanks Jeremy! Having fun with mine now too after watching this
This sounds sick!
As far as I can tell it’s the same as the original Thyme but with a more robust presentation, kind of like they did with the Microgranny.
Yeah. Thank goodness. I didn't want to buy another one... haha. I caved on the Softpop 2, though I do like my jumper wire semi-modular collection!
I’m glad, I have all this experienced with the previous first Version, this seems just a Little more robust enclosing and knobs/leds
Did not expect to hear El Búho!
Another dope video. Just knocking this shit out of the park per usual.

BASTL is AWESOME 🤩 glad you have discovered it too
This thing looks like a weird fun powerhouse. I'm more than interested in trying it out.
Would really like to hear the karplus-strong settings fed into a physical modeling resonator
BASTL is the real thing!
Absolutely had me at "My" !
Why do the awesome things always start with a $5 ?
Will wait for used 🤬😡
that envelope follower demonstration shattered my tiny brain - so good
Yeah that's definitely one of my favorite features
Can't wait to finally get this one. Check out Braille's 'Too Much' and 'Hot As Hell' EPs for some great examples of Thyme in action.
Pretty sure the robot wave shapes can be + or - or +/- according to the manual. Hold ROBOT and hit the desired choice (Robot Polarity on page 32).
Not sure if selecting negative polarity would correct what you’re looking for at 8:41
Thanks!!!!
Oh, oh, my G.A.S. starts to act up. Realy great video👍
I love the track around 10:40, is it released somewhere ?
Is it possible to use the envelope follower with an external source? For instance to have a pad modulated by drums, or textures.
Do you have to work in tech to enjoy west coast synthesis?
Lol no
@@RedMeansRecording I’m just joshing. Glad you got a chuckle out of it
Not necessarily. Sometimes having rich parents will suffice.
Well I’m sold. 🙂

Man. That was fun

Downward ramp: robot+freeze
The eyes emoji cannot get large enough.
Wow😮
