Selam alejkum Dr.Bilal Philips I am a Muslim-- European here in the USA and I only know a few expressions in Arabic like Selam Alejkum,Allahu Akbarr,SUBHAN Allah,Hamdellah ect..I AM NOT INTERSTED IN ARABIC AT ALL even though the Arabic Language sounds beautiful when I hear the HOLY Quran sometimes for a few seconds in arabic...the young kids at our mosque love Islam, BUT hate the Arabic language. Every one I know from Europe DISLIKES ARABIC..Here is the real issue: if you go in Europe, or a non arabic country and talk about islam religion to someone that does not know Islam and they learn about the obligations like praying five times per day,maintaining good hygiene,reading the holy Quran ect ect and on top of it you tell them to also learn Arabic too,YOU HAVE MADE THEM RUN FOR THE HILLS FOR GOOD AND NEVER LOVE ISLAM,because they do not want to rip off their skin ,(that is how they say when they take a shower and that is once a week mostly )and they hate to spend most of their time washing,cleaning,ironing,taking showers and washing before each prayer cleaning the house like muslims do and learning arabic in top of this?!...PLEASE learning Arabic is ONLY optional and not a condition and very very rarely should be mentioned in speeches for those who want to they can learn arabic.The most important is reading and practicing the Holy Quran daily with all of our hearts.May Almighty Allah bless us all Inshallah..Thank you!
