I don’t enjoy it either, but I think some level of old school “listener involvement” has to be forgiven. When he drops calls into the middle of a dialogue and disrupts the flow, that goes too far.
Anthony does the true Dice, the one Andrew Clay does is not his true personality. Dice a homosexual who when with friends is very feminine. It's so funny because they all know how perfect the impression is.
I worked at a water treatment plant for a summer and my job was to be the kid who ran out to the tank with a stick and poked the giant trash out of the first stage filtration system- canisters of chemicals, shoes, baseball gloves, pieces of car tires, you literally couldn’t even guess what the next thing would be.
I would have probably fallen for that "Assume" bit if I was a caller for a long time. I'm such a pedantic self-righteous bastard. I got that they were fucking around about 80% in.
"Amy but what happens when you assume?" I love those Opie questions thrown in just when the busy ad-lib chattering of the others is about to fizzle out comedically, which then leads to just the right amount of sudden complete dead air as Dumb Caller person is pondering, but decides to give the exact stupid answer they hoped for as the payoff. Like if you asked her to pick up a dime from the bottom of a running blender, she'd just blink her eyes a couple times but then decide it must be safe because you wouldn't insult her intelligence. And then we all lafff as she does the thing that goes against every rational judgment, and jocularly toast with her hand-smoothie afterwards.
My dad worked as an industrial investigator for the EPA and he had to go out to each company in town and sample their runoff three times a year (or more)… the level of things that get dumped and companies just don’t care and pay the fine is astounding. For some reason everyone thinks that using a crappy paper straw instead of a plastic one will save the world or something are just crazy.
Anthony doesn't just do a flawless Dice impression, his improv skills are insane. The one where Dice thought he could sell out Madison Square Garden. The premise is Dice's agent not wanting to tell Dice there's no way he's selling out the Garden Ant (receptionist) I don't know how but Sam Kinison on line 2. Ant (Dice) Isn't he dead?
You know what tho... dude... back in 1985 when I watched CrocDundee2, I thought the same thing. I wanted to see more of Colin's character... it just seemed like he should have shown Paul Hogan around nyc a bit more.
Holy sh*t, O&A had Jason Ritter on and didnt even talk about Three's Company? His father was Jack Tripper (John Ritter). John Ritter was an amazing person, everyone who worked with him thought of him as their father figure even as a younger actor. And John banged a lot of women, and he had a crazy iris deformation in his eye. Check out Terror Tract for a fun Horror Anthology movie with John Ritter and Bryan Cranston.
For some reason when your town has "heights" after it you sound fancy. Most are definitely not. Now you have to fight the kids from everywhere else on road games in high school
This was one of "those" shows, where the Opester gets annoyed that Ant, Jim, and Colin are being hilarious and making the show worth listening to. He knew he was irrelevant, and that's why he was so pissy
I know this is unpopular, but I would rather get rid of Jim Norton than Opie. He recycles the same jokes over and over, plus he tries to act intelligent but is a moron. Yes, Opie is intolerable at times, but Norton is the worst. I wish one of the successful comedic guests would have taken his spot, but then again if you're a very successful comedian, you don't need to be third chair a radio show.
Anthony doing Dice jokes as Ronald Regan destroyed me.
Opie's job description: Whenever things get too funny, I need to bring it all to a halt! Radio Gold Tsss Tsssss
@Imight Realperson the guy was a master of steering the ship
Tsss tsss yeah he’s like the brakes on a truck or someting tsss
@Chip Chipperson he's tha masta!!! Been doin it since he was 18.👊
Lets take a call. Steve from Bayshore!
1:59:30 The movie Jimmy is talking about is The Piano Teacher
(2001). I think Louis CK mentioned that movie in one of his appearances too
Love the start of the show. Hearing calls from hayseed hvac workers is way better than hearing Colin and ant. Good job Opster!
Colin and ant are way funnier than Opie taking calls actually
Patrick Darling Just hate opie
Pat Fry Someone gets jokes yay
I don’t enjoy it either, but I think some level of old school “listener involvement” has to be forgiven. When he drops calls into the middle of a dialogue and disrupts the flow, that goes too far.
Oh literal Evan! I think he was being sarcastic..
Opie, not watching the Obama McCain thing: Obama fell short, he didn’t kill like McCain. 2 minutes later: Huh, how about that Obama?!
Anthony doing Dice is funnier than Dice himself ever was.
You haven't listened to The Day the Laughter Died
“Sounds better than me but the only difference is 38 million.”
-Dice talking to Ant about his Dice Impression.
I'm with Imight but at the same time Anthony's "dice finds Jesus" bit is easily some of the funniest shit I've ever heard
Anthony does the true Dice, the one Andrew Clay does is not his true personality. Dice a homosexual who when with friends is very feminine. It's so funny because they all know how perfect the impression is.
@@odditt9159 Dice has never touched $38mil in his life.
1:49:36 Colin telling Jimmy to shut up for apparently no reason is so perfect. Best guest, second to none but Patrice
Out of any of the O and A episodes with any guest this is my favorite moment ever. “Clam up” as a command is so fucking funny
I am in love with Ant's old-time-announcer voice! Hysterical!
That and his dice impressions are perfect
Anthony got beat up by two women
@@poppaboppa6000 that is a fact sir
Dice Reagan Kelly is possibly the best character ever created.
lol jimmy yelling out voss' punchlines had me laughing my ass off. "AN EMPTY BOAT"
Okay, the pollution calls and the bit where the people call in to explain the assume thing are some of the very best I’ve ever heard.
I've seen this pic of Colin like a thousand times. Why is it only now that I notice it looks like his neck is all cut up?
Took awhile, been there. Now that's all i see
Shaving is hard
Shaving rash mate it happens haha
Improper shaving technique + Irish genetics
Ant doing Tony Danza is off the charts though
Man I sure wish I could hear Opies brother tell the bit about his dad and the dumped car...............
He knows how to do radio!
What's that?
@@realphoenixking it's something that's been done since he was 18 my friend
@@Captain_Willard Are you saying he knows this shit?
17:10 Anthony with a good bit of light hearted racism 😂😂
Only one 😭
1:11:25 “You’re looking more and more like Christian Bale is what he’s saying.” Thanks for explaining the joke.
thanks for explaining why opie sucks

Opie was the hole on the show the whole time and we didn't even realize it
Opie really stinks in this one.
Is there a way to just repeat this comment on all o & a videos
All of them not just this one.
End it at stinks 😂
I’ve seen this comment in every O&A video.
Some I’ve posted myself.
I’ll never “leave it alone”

I could listen to Patty in Goodfellas all day
Patty beeeeans...
5:48 First Opie flow disruption of the clip. Not even subtle just whammo! Cutting the fun like a shovel cutting a grass snake.

the assumption bit was hilarious
I can't believe no one made a stand alone clip of Colin's Jim Carrey story at 2:10:00
Did you?
1:20:30 - One of the funniest callers of all time.
Just the title😂😂😂

Jason Ritter has a great laugh
Holy shit yes
Thanks as well sir!
Ronald Dice Reagan is some of the best radio ever
Opie was a caddy for 12-14 yrs.....AND been doing radio since he was 18....something tells me he's a fibber
Don’t forget that the opster also worked for the mob.
Please, no one tell David Alan Grier that Opie isnt a big fan of him, that would crush him

Pretty sure his dad had just died. Might be why. Or maybe he requests not to talk about his father as a prerequisite to being booked

Do you think opie would be annoyed when he'd say "let's break?" and everyone just ignored him and kept going
Any show with Collin is a fawkin homerun
What song is that playing at the beginning of this clip?
Sounds like something from Static-x
Got the life- Korn
The Ritter kid towards the end; his father and grandfather are legends.

Hey- an Opie hate comment in 2024. What a hot and original take, 10 whole years after the show ended.
Pretty sure the movie Jim can't remember the title of is "The Piano Teacher" lol
These guys bringing up Dice every day killed the show more than Ant and Opie getting fired
When did Colin ever say 'I don't give a care' because I don't ever remember him saying that?
lxefhyfty kjuty Not entirely sure, but I think he did it on Twitter at some point.
52:37 😂
27:10 this will lead to problems in regards to his birth certificate
Ooof I’m embarrassed I ever thought Norton was funny. The more I listen the more I realize he’s just one note and awful. Colin killed per usual.
Fun fact the luxor is going down

There was another morning zoo-ish song called Bomb Iraq as well, maybe about 10 years back
Damn that actor knows the Jew on Big Bang
Anthony Dice Cumia is funnier than both Ant and Dice put together.
