With my modern day AR15 rifle (16" barrel) coupled with a zeroed red dot and a 3 x magnifier, I get consistent 8" groups at 100 yards. If I just use the red dot it gets harder. So, yeah, the optics are critical at the distance here, 146 yards. If Crooks had a proper scope of say 1-6, had it zeroed, and had trained with it, at 146 yards it would not have been difficult to land a shot through Trump's head. Maybe a good thing he didn't have a decent scope.
I totally agree with that statement, Sir. He had the affordable DPMS DR-15 M4 5.56 Nato that his dad purchased 11 years ago, which is a semi-automatic rifle and not a sniper rifle by any means, and with a EOTECH non-magnifying optic. Good video mate. Listen to all the audio of the shooting and any same person without a hearing impairment can hear that the first three shots sound completely different to the next five shots. You do not need to be a forensic analyst to hear that. I'm not coming up with theories as to why they sound completely different, I merely stating the obvious.
I heard that. The sound analysis shows that they were all fired from the same distance. I’d love to know if he repositioned after those first three shots, putting the muzzle closer or farther on the roof, affecting the report of the rifle?
I got into a minor argument with someone about this. Given it was a real life situation, which is lost on most people, was rushed into shooting before planned, he came damn close on the first shot. Damn close. He may not be good. But calling him bad doesn’t tell the whole story either. Also don’t feel bad. My father went to basic in fort Polk middle of August, his drill sergeants loved him, which he said did nothing for him but have to build a deck and paint the dudes house for free lol. You are absolutely correct! I was not sure where you were going at the start of the video, but that is exactly what I would have said. The fact he got a shot that close to killing Trump is pretty chilling, if you consider how anxious this person should have been.
