i keep coming back to this show year after year. the amount of detail in it is crazy. i keep noticing new things every time i come back to it! so many musical motifs in the second movement that are referential to the sounds of deforestation (rolls in snare break mimicks the revving of a chain saw followed by the snap of the trunk at the end of the long roll). and i just now noticed that the last form in the show is making the image of a tree from left to right. this show design is timeless.
