I don't think I-11 will not complete until 2030 between Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge at the Arizona/Nevada border to I-40 in Kingman Arizona, which is about 71 miles, but they are working on it.
I have been to Las Vegas twice - with the first time having me going to the then southern end of Interstate 515 (while even the current build of Interstate 11 was still on the drawing boards); I did not get to go visit Hoover Dam - on this trip or my next and only other trip in 2016. The southern section of Interstate 11 is actually set in stone - as it will replace the remaining section of Interstate 515 and duplex with Interstate 15 to the north - not merely through Paradise and Henderson but into Las Vegas proper. (This will be the second duplex involving Interstate 15 - the other is with Interstate 80 in Utah.)
It doesn't seem like it'd take that much to extend I11 to Kingman. They need that interchange at i40, maybe the biggest project -- then maybe some other upgrades along the way.
There are a few signaled interchanges along US93 that would have to be upgraded on that 70-mile stretch .... and that will not be a small funding project.
@@dhinton1 I believe the most expensive bit, down by Kingman to I40 is under construction now. From this video, looks like there's a few gas stations and a cross-street or two between Kingman and Nevada. I didn't see any signals
eventually, US93 will be in the FORMER category ..... whenever I-11 is built down (at least to Wickenburg), US93 certainly will be decommissioned from the interchange with I-15 in North Las Vegas southward.
Welcome Back! Interstate 11 all the way to Kingman is complete. Try it now
Looking at the overhead view it looks like nothing has changed since I filmed this though? Are you sure?
@@ForgottenHwy yep
When did it open? I’m not seeing anything.

Really?
Hey I just wanted to say I’m glad I found this channel I’ve been really into all the California routes and it’s nice to see a channel like this

Great video. Thank you.
Did you see landmarks in rural areas?
I didn't know interstate 11 existed
I been through here before.
