This piece always makes me cry. How can people just walk by with barely a glance? It is a mad world.
Well, some people have to be certain places at certain times......Perhaps with a lot on their minds. It is after all....a mad world. :)
What’s so great about Peter is that he plays with such infused emotion.. sure, he has fabulous technique… but the way he puts so much emotion into the piece is what makes it especially elegant and captivating….🙂
Pure talent. I don't think I've heard a better public piano cover for this song. He didn't just nail it, he improvised the original.

That moment when you walk past someone randomly on your merry way and instead of crying your eyeballs out to the tragic sadness of this song, you are instead feeling a sense of joy and happiness filling you up because you came across something so beautiful and magical as this performance.
Music played well have the ability to transform an emotion into a paradox of it's origin.
I don't think there is anything in our world that is more beautiful than well played music.
There are indeed beautiful places that can be staggering to say the least, but music is in it's own league imo.
Great analysis. Its difficult to assign the exact words to corresponding emotions since emotions and feelings are in a different dimension than just plain vocabulary but you've done it with deep insight and intuition...

There are quite a few pianists on youtube, some very good and some not
so good. However, Peter Buka stands out for me because not only does he
hit the notes, he injects so much expression and emotion into what he
plays that it is very captivating and holds my attention completely. He
is so much more than a good technician, he is a musical artist. Well

The way you chose to sit has made my day. I lost my leg in a car accident and was looking into whether I vould play while only using one leg on the pedals. You play the piano like it's making music just for you instead of it just being a box of wood and strings. That's pretty cool to me.

Peter Bence and Peter Buka are the two incredibles in piano world.
It reincarnates / exists the famous band of mid 80‘s , Tears for fears when hearing the song ! I try to recall the band‘s famous songs then but hardly recall anymore. They were one of my favorite group bands back in my childhood days😂. The pianist is alien, undeniably & incredibly out of this world performer. He even puts the song of long forgotten years back to life!!

Ya know, I don't think people appreciate how much time this kinda music takes to perfect. He must've spent so many hours getting it to the way he liked it. @@shadow392 I am following an unconventional method by Tim Gross. Not into sight reading, though I do know some part of it. There really needs to be a good system that is there for people who want to self learn it
@@jureeze140 just learning basic sight reading so I can learn a couple of relatively easy pieces. Right now I’m going by a boo recommended by a piano teacher I had, feel like it’s getting easier to learn new pieces and pretty fun aswell.

That's an amazing piece to play in such a setting... the irony of the words that speak of loneliness in the middle of a multitude of people... perfectly expressed in this setting. I would have been moved to tears to see and hear this performance live!
I played piano for around 13 years, stopped for 10 and just recently picked it back up a month ago. I truly hope to be nearly as good as you in time, and have the guts to play in public again.
