Walking Tour of Puerto de Mazarron & Batería de Castillitos Spain

Join us on an enchanting walking tour in the beautiful coastal port town of Puerto de Mazarrón Spain. Located on the Mediterranean coast close to the regional capital of Mazarrón, Puerto de Mazarrón is a picturesque and historical port city on the coastal plain forming the Gulf of Mazarrón. The town has been influenced throughout the centuries by many differing civilizations including Phoenician, Romans, Arabs and Christians who were attracted by the abundance of minerals in the region. After our walking tour of the port, the beaches and the town itself, we head off to explore the Batería de Castillitos, on a peninsular 22km out of town. This is a stunning military battery with 38.1cm guns built in the 1930s in the style of a medieval castle overlooking the sea to provide a defensive deterrent for the city of Cartagena.
