    With this kind of vlog, it proves that nurses really do work hard a lot and often they struggled to balance their life. From studying to get passed the licensure exam, until arriving at the work area, hard work and sacrifices are always there. I admire you, nurses, I love your profession. I look up to it since a child. I love to be you someday. You did so well in your life and you deserve more happiness and blessings. As a g11 student, I became aware of the situation of nurses in the actual setting. This is truly an informative video. Thanks for having an effort to share a little bit of your work with us. It is motivating and fun to watch.
    Please stay safe and get more rest! With love from your new subscriber ♥️

      I've met many a dumb nurse esp those who arent adhering to bacterial precautions.
      I note that this nurse, doesn't swab her iv cannula bag. Goes into the bathroom with a mask on, then doesn't replace it with washed hands !!! Revolting

    Watching this video made me realize how the hospital where I worked spoiled us, yet my coworkers complained a lot. We do have an IV team who inserts all IVs on the patient. RT, who administer all inhalers and breathing treatments. Phlebotomy team who draws blood. The pharmacist mixed and prepared all IV meds and sent them to us when it’s ready. We also have CNAs who help us with the vitals, blood sugar checks, cleaning, and turning the patient. Our charting is paperless, and we use computer software for charting.

      @@zylia3929 When your in Nursing School.....you barely get a taste....when your in your final clinical then you get an idea and usually think two ways....You might start thinking what the hell did you get yourself into or you think it must get better. One thing is certain especially on the floor or ICU you start off scared and as time goes on you get less scared but it never 100% goes away. Rare few will say they love it and truly mean it at least floor nursing. Anyone doubts what I say then just look at the turn around on your own unit. Too many come and go. Nursing is a critically important job but the unfortunate reality is it is emotionally and physically exhausting and you would think such a job you would get some respect. Think again. The turn over rate is so high your nothing but a number to management.
      A new crop of cheaper new grads come along. There are really not a lack of nurses but a lack of good nursing jobs. I am not saying this to try to discourage anyone it's the reality. I was a preceptor and I always told the truth. One day a student a student told me they really appreciated my honesty. Go in it with no illusions and take care of yourself. Who knows you maybe one of the rare ones who truly love it.

    Omgg, I LOVED this video! So detailed and thorough! I’m a 3rd Year Nursing student and I’m sooo nervous about graduating this year. I just feel like I don’t know enough and I’ve accepted that I’ll probably always feel like that until I’ve actually worked a few years as an RN and build up more confidence & experience. It’s just so tough, because I genuinely have days where I wonder how I’ve even made it this far. There is so much I don’t know. Today, I was at a depot clinic and gave 13 IM’s and honestly, I still had to ask my mentor to assist me on certain things. I still get stuck and need guidance quite often. It just gives me anxiety thinking I’m going to be completely liable and independent soon. Thankfully, I knew and understand everything you did in the video. The nurses always tell me I’m doing well but it’s just so hard to see it.
    How old are you, when did you qualify? And can you relate to this feeling at all? 💕

    • @baetrice
      @baetrice  2 роки тому +4

    Tho i watched a ton of vids from nurses all over the world, di pa rin talaga nabago ang desisyon ko. Im a nurse and teacher by profession. My parents always want me to work as a nurse but parang ayaw ko na talaga mgwork as nurse again. Walang week na di ako nanonood ng mga ganito pero di pa rin ako namomotivate. There are jobs that would seem amazing and lucrative for many people but on the surface, it isn't always the case. Lalo na ang nursing, napakaganda o cool tingnan pero napakahirap nyan. Grabe ang tyaga, pasensya, hardwork at pagtitiis ng mga nurses and other healthcare professionals. It's the kind of job na pwede sa lahat pero hindi para sa lahat. Madali tingnan o nakakainggit pero grabe ang palakasan ng loob. Kung di ka matibay, di talaga tatagal. Right now, ang trabaho ko ang layo2 sa nursing but im happy amd fulfilled. Ang hirap sabihin sa parents ko na wala na talaga ang puso ko sa nursing. Mabuhay kayo na nananatili sa profession nyo and to those who wish to be a nurse - I suggest that you take it slow. 💓

    I was just randomly searching for a day in a life of a nurse vlog and I was not expecting that you're a Filipino and even a bisaya pa jud! hehe I am also a 3rd year nursing student here in Cebu. With the lack of intervention of our clinical instructors in our learning process because of online class minsan nawawala talaga ang passion for nursing but every time I try to watch these types of videos to remind myself that a few years from now this will be my future. Thank you for this videos Ate Darlene! To more contents like this

  • @sarah1490

    Awww I miss hospital nursing 😢 I moved to nursing in the community 9 months ago, and im not liking it. Im due to revalidate in August so I think im going to stick around and get that signed off by my current manager. Then in going to go back... I prefer the routine, using a wider variety of nursing skills, working closely with doctors rather than emailing GPs. Wound care and dressings have never been my most enjoyed aspect of nursing, we all have our bits we like the most and bits we dont. Wound care for me is meh, but theres alot of it in the community! Also pressure area care and ordering pressure relieving cushions and mattresses just feels, well boring! Its something we just do anyway in the hospital, but its a bigger thing in the community. You can litterally visit a patient just to check their pressure areas. Also, find it weird going to care homes that have nurses and HCAs working there, but a district nurse turns up to check their pressure areas? It feels like an insult to the staff there. I miss working as a team, when your on shift with a good team, i miss that feeling. Im on my own most of the day now. Just cant see a future for me in the community. It has a completley different feel to it, ive stuck with it to see if I can adapt, but nothings changing.
