It's youtube's way in calculating views in order to ensure they are not being botted. It freezes them at 301 and the system does what it does making sure the views are not originating from the same place.
That's why sometimes some videos may have 301 views yet 1000 likes.

Not really...It just takes a couple hours for the views to refresh, especially when a mass amount of views are coming in..nothing about bots, and why can't views originate from the same place? Maybe I really like this song. UA-cam is just slow.
