Not feminine at all. Made me miserable. But I finally hit upon going vintage 1950's, the decade in which I was born. Those fashions were feminine and modest, and the iconic 1950's housewife displayed many of the qualities discussed by you in this video, Janae. I really love these little visits with you. Love this! I want to take my modest dress up a notch from jeans to slacks and of course dresses/skirts. I prefer to be covered with only really my arms out in the summer/ short sleeve shirts, but am a true stickler of being covered, all seasons, and i live i FL😅. At times I’ll wrap my hair as well, and I feel the most feminine when i wear my head wraps and a nice casual outfit slacks/blouse/dress!🤗

Beautiful. I have a better understanding of femininity and modesty now. I personally stopped wearing earings cause I feel like it makes me look "prettier" "makes my eyes pop" and in fact God made me naturally beautiful cause his works are wonderful. In a way, I felt like wearing earings was something that made me feel like without it I wouldn't be as attractive and that's just not true. I'm a creation of God, and leaning towards objects for beauty felt like saying how he made me wasn't enough. I still wear necklaces though. There's nothing wrong with earings obviously but I've grown use to not wearing them anymore ❤. Glory to God for his guidance in our life.

And Praise God now I don’t feel that way. We’re beautiful naturally because we’re made in HIS image🤍. Like you mentioned, nothing wrong with that stuff- it was our heart towards them at the time. We’re delivered and set free from that in Jesus name. So happy for you sis!!!!!

@@alojailine I LOVE this for you 🥹👏🏽👏🏽 I struggled for YEARS wanting to get both of those things - it would come and go in seasons - I would see all these girls who had them (esp. the eyelash extensions) and I would be like wow they look so much better without makeup on simply because their eyelashes are popping - and i know it’s fake but still maybe I should get that too to look better - effortlessly - but the Lord really kept me from getting them and I’m so thankful because I know I didn’t want them for me, I only wanted them because it seemed everyone else had them and it instantly elevated their look. But the fact is, God made me without those long eyelashes and if I can’t be okay in my skin without them I do not need to be getting them. Once I truly understood and realized and understood my worth comes from the Lord and not from men, everything changed ❤️

I feel like a cross dressing bodybuilder when I wear a dress, unfortunately. I think they are so beautiful on but I just don’t think they work with my body type and current weight. I am definitely working on being in ceiling more feminine, though! This was a good lesson.

How do you call your children’s attention if they don’t listen like if you call their name 2-3 or more times? Like biblical wise instead of yelling their name or something. I am working on my behavior and attitude and I genuinely do want to learn in a Godly way instead of quick to anger. Before meeting Christ I was completely different but I do want to learn how to parent well so my 7 year old son sees Christ through me. I’ve been shopping ETSY a lot lately for cotton/linen dresses since I’m switching over to natural fibers but I used to get all my dresses from SHEIN it just takes a while to find modest ones on SHEIN
It really is investing into quality vs quantity. I have found some nice cotton/linen blend dresses on ETSY for around $50! So while it’s not the same feel as a $150 linen dress, it’s still nice and more budget friendly 😊

Catholics mainly wore them until the 1980s in Church. It was stricter then. In the Vatican for example, you would cover all of your hair and your shoulders out of respect and modesty.

Feminity is just being myself and not trying to be like anyone else. I don't wear makeup and I feel most comfortable in sweats. I do dress modestly.
