I reckon keep the original paint! Old cars like this can get away with being a bit rough around the edges. Gives a bit of character I reckon. Can always respray later if necessary. Looking forward to seeing more mate, well done
Exciting times for you Tim doing a reno. I think it depends on how big your wallet is re paintwork. You can work with what you've got and see how the duco comes up. If it satisfies you, great. If not go for a respray in original colour when you can afford it. Old cars never lose their story and when I see a totally reno'd car it captures my imagination more than seeing an old car not reno'd. All the best for 2023.
