Paul, appreciate it's from a while ago, but just came across the footage. Thoughts from an umpire somewhat higher than these two... @00:24 - stick block by attacker, FHD (incorrect call from ump) @00:36 - FHD, raised save to be treated like an aerial, clear receiver under it, green required to yield until grounded and under control. @01:14 - stick block, rule 9.12 & physical interference (hand off stick, pushing tackler away) rule 9.3 - Free Hit Defence (FHD) @02:18 - good outcome, odd explanation. Simple obstruction, rule 9.12, by pink #18 @02:31 - improper injection, rule 13.3(d) -PC should be retaken @02:37 - save caused no danger, lifted ball was available for safe pick and control, danger (9.2 and 9.8) was created by green #27 reckless swing (Green #'27 should have been on a warning for the silliness earlier when frustrated, probable picking up a technical green personal warning at this point, to prevent escalation. @02:42 - improper injection, rule 13.3(d) - PC should be retaken @03:54 - obstruction, rule 9.12 again...shielding with body (leading overstep left leg to shield/prevent legitimate play at ball) - wrong call, should've been a PC against pink/your defender (green #61 correct to be confused at decision) @04:02 - Green #61 incorrect to be confused this time - definitely asking for 9.12 obstruction, but you cannot have that ruling if not trying to play the ball, Stick was in the air, no attempt at ball denied. play on. @04:11 - ump missed the last touch squeeze off green stick after the tackle, right under his nose. 16 the right call. @04:27 - good decision. clearly collects ball cleanly, no sign of contact with body or stick, green #61 on attempting to tackle back creates the foul, good advantage shown and rolled despite position coming out of deep defence, allowing play to develop and lead away. @04:40 - great decision!! 1st tackle missed target, swept the stick backward using back of stick to disposes having missed first attempt. Intentional in 23. PC correct. Would warrant a green at least as well,
Pretty good in general, just a few I am curious about. -2:37 the save caused danger in my opinion. Ball went straight at the players from 2-3meter at most. They moved out of the way but the initial situation counts - what is wrong with the injections? I am probably overlooking it. - at 4:11 yes good view. The referees not seeing that happens really often in games. Honestly only see it called out 1/50 times. Idk why, still irritates me every play
@@wubbalubbadubdub5867 Injector has foot on baseline…13.3(d) = at least one foot must be outside the field of play…baseline is inside field of play (rule 1.8). GK save does not cause danger. Take a look at rule 9.8; from memory it is specific on also considering danger as causing legit evasive action by an *opponent*. Can cause evasive action on teammates as much as you’d like and it’s not danger under the rules. The GK save was travelling toward pink player (who would’ve had to take evasive). However the action that caused the danger was the green attacker stepping in with a miss-volley. Ump got this one wrong purely on account of not understanding (or not applying) the nuances of the rules correctly.
Quick response thanks. -my screen might be too small but if the foot is on the line it is only by a few centimeter it seems. Or did you see something different. He shifts it immediately forward but no foul as the ball already crosses the line. - oh now I see what you meant. You're right it is at the teammate and not the opponents which is stupid risky but not a foul. One thing though. It is a high ball and it would really go 8± centimeters past the two green attackers which is very close. It just seems bigger because the first guy jumped to the right. Doesn't that seem dangerous? Or what do you think? - I see something similar happening a lot that a defender pushes the ball out against the attackers stick and it bounces off to the sid. Referees don't account for it bouncing off in my experience, ever. Maybe there is a rule about it Is forgot but I always find it very weird that the attackers gets the ball in that case. This was not the perfect example, my fault. Sorry.

Point about improper injections is just that the umpire is not paying enough attention to set the PC correctly. Hey,i'm happy to watch your videos, but i have a few questions from this video.First of all, what tournament or league are you playing? Is it just a club where you play for fun or you are paid? Please answer my questions,I would like to become a professional hockey player that plays in oversea.
Why are so many players so agressive. It is just for fan people. I play as well but you just play your match and complaining is for aftzr or the captain
