Thanks for the kind words guys! This was something new for us, I love what a bit of time in Resolve can do for any camera. Resolve Grading Course ➤ geni.us/ResolveforWeddings If you've used Resolve, I'd love to hear what you'd like to have covered in the course, leave a comment. When I first started using Resolve, I had a huge problem importing the footage without screwing up the edit. I'll be covering a simplified workflow that will keep your edits locked, and the entire process for grading a music video like this and wedding films, Plus the power grades that were used for this. Power grades > LUTs 👍🏻, I'll explain later. -Matt
I own a 1dxII aswell and I've always been curious about your grading process... I really like the way you make those colors POP in all your films! I'm sure the SmallHD 500 serie you're using is for something, it seems like you always nail exposure, making the post-production so much easier Can't wait for this course!
I feel like you wrote this song from my heart and how I feel about my husband Bryan. Thank you for sharing such a Beautiful song, beautiful video, and your beautiful voice. 💙💚💙💚💙💚💙
You have written this Beautiful song, it's going to be played at my wedding. I have met the most amazing, tender, loving, understand man in the world. He is truly my soulmate and he does make it easy to love him
Stumbled on this from the other video, and I'm glad I clicked on it! Thanks Film Poets again, this is wonderful work!! I'm learning videography myself and your work has always been a gold standard. The stories are really inspirational. Great work!! 👍👍
The song, first of all, is just beautiful (makes me think of me and my wife) what you showed in this music video and storyline just incredible. This would be a fun BTS video with you talking about what you used and the thoughts behind why you choose that camera, drone, angle, etc. Thanks
God damn! You handle cameras and editing like a champ! The look is so incredible cinematic and fresh, its amazing how you grade and make it look like a million dollars, if this is shot on your canon OMG
Looking forward to the color grading course! :18 is my favorite shot as well. The lighting is beyond beautiful, everything is perfectly lit. It almost looked like you flew a huge silk above the area, but you said you bounced it. I would love to see behind the scenes of this shot if you have any or want to share it. Amazing amazing work!
Thanks Chris, we have a lot of bts pictures. For that shot it was a nice, small cloud right in front of the sun with no bounce. I'll get some bts stuff out either in the course.
Sorry for not responding! We rented a piano shell, two movers dropped it there with a lot of griping and a little help from me. Let’s just say I tipped them really well.
@@thefilmpoets Wow nice. I’m looking at some of your images and they’re super crisp despite what I would consider tough lighting conditions. Any advice on still getting a great image?
@@JaredRaines Lots of things make a great image, but if you can properly expose, use good lighting to your advantage, and learn good compositions you'll consistently make the best out of what's in front of you. Start with understanding light first.
This is amazing ... I have a question. what aspect ratio and resolution do you render in ? do you use bars? do you reduce width Res to get the wide effect ? inspirational work... thank you for sharing
Nice work as usual. Flowing camera, slow mo, good light and CC. Beautiful! Two Q: - in all wide shots with the piano the color are a little bit muted (lacked of saturation compared with the close-ups - same setup) and with a tint of blue. Because you loose the light and shoot against the sun (in sunset) ? - a sync problem in post at 1:09 ? (ua-cam.com/video/YjXazmfpzxk/v-deo.html) Waiting for the color grading course with resolve for weddings.
Dear furture husband. You aren't perfect but neither am i . Although we haven't met yet i know i love you from bottom of my heart . I cant wait for us to meet & share our lives together. Love you to moon and back xxx your furture wife
@@jackbisson9226 this was the original Mavic Pro with noise reduction. I mentioned a shot from this in the camera movement section of the mavic 2 pro review and tried to label it as an mp1 shot. Sorry for the confusion! -Matt

Is It even legal to have a Life that perfect?
It is with the proper editing, lighting and talent, lol! I agree with you, btw. It's wonderful, if I had to watch it again I'd be sick. 😂
it depends on what country you're in
@@jonseymouse All fake, Guy definitely looks like a creep.
These lyrics are so good. "You make it easy to stay in love." That's how it should be.
I was blown away by the scenery as well as the whole production. But the scenery in my opinion is just over-the-top gorgeous.
Thank you! I spent more time finding the perfect location than I did making the video.

Amazing, extremely amazing. what color profile was used on the 1DX II if i may ask ? You nailed the highlights and shadows perfectly.
I use Marvels Cine and a lot of special processing in Resolve.

It was about 4pm. A small cloud softened Sierra a bit but let the sun directly hit the mountains.

How did you manage to carry the piano to a middle of nowhere.
with buldozer i think:))

HOLY COLOR!
Definitely love the grading on this and composition!! Good use of actual wide screen aspect ratio ! Could you give me the dimensions you used ?!!
Left jab, right cross uppercut, block, block,Albow knee head kick. Boom KO. That's the ratio he used in this arena.
also wondering when u will have ur online course ready for purchase ? thanks
Incredible! How are you keeping a clean image when the R5 struggles in lowlight?
this is way before the R5 came out. Shot on 1DXII - R5 does ok in lowlight, I'm using it a s a B cam and C70 as the main cam.

The wides don't have a bounce source of light like the tights, so that's probably the difference. Thanks! -Matt
