Loved this episode! Reading Zora Neale Hurston's "Mules and Men" in college was my first real introduction to the field of folklore studies. Not long after, I discovered Lore and ultimately tweaked my English major to have a concentration on folklore and the supernatural! 🖤
I picked that book up on a whim at a bargain sale, and I was totally blown away. Her commitment to archiving folktales and traditions is so inspiring!
