Thanks so much about the sand. I am definitely buying some. I had this a few years ago . Those little black gnats would even bite me! I eventually had to throw them all away and have been reluctant to buy more. Any ideas about a potting soil that is bug free?

Hi, Noni just wanted to let you know Basmati rice is from India and they introduced it to the British Which Britain has a large Indian population. Also Basmati rice tou can buy in big bags on Indian and Middle Eastern stores and I have seen it in Walmart.

Fungus gnats are horrible! Walmart plants are known for having them. Also, certain brands/types of potting soil can have them in it when you buy it. I had an outbreak of them that in the end a couple of plants I had to throw away
