Wish they'd given us a few really close-up good shots of the actual mask and the tube connection instead of spending so much time on random people smiling shots that provide absolutely no information whatsoever. And magnets? Ugh.

So, I have a big ass nose. it looks comfortable but, that it'll leak like crazy the moment you move and your hose has even the slightest tension on it; like it gets stuck on the pillow or caught between the matress and the headboard. Plus, I worry that my nose would pop out and the air would rush straight out my nose. I think I'll keep my AirFit F20 for now :)
Wish they would make these with the memory foam instead of the silicon.
100% I was hoping for a new mask material also. It looks like it's a new silicone material though so i'll be very interested to see how it feels/fits. Cheers
When's it hit the market? Problem with these masks is tightening pressure needs to come straight from the front but it can't and I never get a good seal. If I apply my finger to the front or if I hook side strap with my finger and tug slightly outward leaks stop.
I don’t really get it. It looks identical to my F30. What is the difference…?!?
If nothing else I love the neutral gray colorway. I always hated the hospital blue color accents!
I have the Evora Full Face CPAP/BiPAP Mask with Headgear and I feel it is a better fit,easier to clean and more comfortable lower back neck strap.

No full face masks seal well with beards mate
Yeah I am using a simplus full face mask it does seal pretty good with a beard when id does but when it doesn't it like a nightmare
Wish it had the hose attachment at the top. 😭
I used to like those until I realized how much they will break fragile hair near your hairline. No thanks!

I feel hurt. There was talk, even on your facebook group, back when the "recall" came out that ResMed was supposedly releasing a non-magnetic solution for us. So I've been waiting to hear while dealing with the mask that my supplier (and insurance company) foisted on me. So the very first thing, I and I'm sure MANY of us last night wondered when we saw the first posting about this mask, was... Is it magnetless or where's our promised magnetless option for the F-30 that people like me had to give up. I've been using the Simplex for several weeks now and I don't like it, although my AHI's about the same- it's not as pleasant to wear and I don't feel like I'm getting as decent quality sleep with it as with the other one, I know I'm waking up more, not from an apnea, but from moving my head and shifting the mask.. And when I try to adjust and tighten it, I get a headache where that stupid slab of plastic in the middle makes contact with the bridge of my nose. I've had a rough week and honestly just two nights ago I contemplated saying to hell with it, risking it, and going back to the magnet mask... so literally 24 hours later there's an announcement from Resmed.. so of course the first thing I want/need to know is if this is the answer to my prayers... And as the video shows, it isn't...

To me it shouldn't be a big deal to come up with a simple solution to replace the magnets with snaps or wrap the external part in magnetic shielding material.... hell if I had a 3d printer I'd probably rig something up myself, so I would think that all the engineers they have could come up with SOMETHING for us, before releasing another magnet mask...so yeah, I'm a little touchy about this..

Maybe a great mask, but the ad sounds like they're promoting a luxury holiday on a tropical island somewhere in the middle of the ocean. Like something everybody needs... 😏

Certainly some similarities. ResMed plays a pretty straight bat these days. It's not a very exciting company and you they don't need to be because they have a monopoly. Cheers

Is the cushion still basically the same with the 2 holes for the delivery> Unlike the Evora FFM I binned the F30 because I always felt I wasn't get enough air, not a problem with the Evora FFM which has a wider delivery on your actual nose. If the Evora had magnets it would be almost the ideal mask...I find the clips too bloody fiddly to get off and on.
This looks like a significant improvement over the AirFit F30 that I wear, more headgear sizes (3 versus 1), and mask cushion sizes (3 versus 2), I can’t wait to try this.
I got the 30..so whats the difference in the 40 vs 30?
Be interested to knowing this as well
More headgear size options - small, standard and large,..verses Airfit 30 1 size fits all. more mouth size options 3. nice cheek cushions and shape closer to F20 for headgear. Otherwise very similar. Not sure about the nose part if divided like F30 or together like Evora.
If F30 works for you no need to switch. It's for people who hated F30 and, people with an Evora mask and Amara View (discontinued for insurance coverage but people still buy) to covert to ResMed.

EH, looks like my F30I mask except for the tube coming out of the mask instead of the top of the head. I wish they would make one of their FOAM masks with the tube coming out of the head for me to try.
I thought they weren't going to be using magnets anymore after the recall issues? Disappointing to see that there isn't at least a magnet-free option in a 2024 newly released product.

This F40 looks like a clone of the Phillips Amara View, which I have used successfully for the past year.
I’d love to get your thoughts in comparing the F40 and the Phillips Amara View. 🙏🙏🙏
ResMed has earlier masks with a similar design that have been available for at least five years, the AirFit F30, the AirFit F30i, and the AirTouch F30. This new AirFit F40 mask is a refinement of the AirFit F30 design, which many people disliked, though it is one of the few that works for some such as myself.
I’ve used both the Amara View and the AirFit F30, and in my case the Amara View cushions leak much more, but have headgear that comes in more sizes and can be adjusted better, at least from my recollection, that was seven or more years ago for me.

I tried the F30 and it didn’t fit my facial topography while the Amara View does, albeit with some occasional leakage.
I may try the F40 once some feedback from “early adopters” is available.
@@stevecman1 Faces are highly different between individuals, which I guess is why there has to be so many different types of masks, at some point hopefully it’ll be simpler for PAP users, a way to scan your face and have automatic suggestions as to which ones will work best for you, or even custom masks for each person. I’ve been through about a half dozen myself.

I was hoping for a memory foam upgrade like the Airfit F20. I have the F30 and the F30i and both wreak havoc on my nasal septum and where it joins my upper lip.
So was i, i might speak with my mates over at Easyformpro to see if they can make me something up

i switched from lena to f30 because lena was causing wounds on the bridge of my nose.

It's amazing how many TV shows and commercials Coldplay must be getting royalties from.
Years ago I attended a family gathering at the Baptist church they attend. The rock music group, a foursome of angelic players, sang their songs to the music of Coldplay but had changed the words to suit the fables of their religion.
Post the extremely long service, they and others attended a BBQ for them.
At the BBQ, I asked them how they managed paying royalties to Coldplay for using their music. Stunned silence and what did I mean they said in reply. I did follow Coldplay back then so was able to reference the ripped off tracks.
They mumbled and looked sheepishly at me. I didn’t pursue the matter. My work was done. ✅
@@l214laus Have you seen the U.S. tv show "Undercover Boss"? Look it up and listen to the theme song.... so many examples of the "the Scientist" arpeggios + drum pattern, "Clocks", "Yellow"...
Can ResMed give those of us who love full-face minimalist masks a new full-face minimalist mask that does NOT have magnets?? Why should we, who are burdened by physical contraindications to magnets, be kicked to the curb by ResMed - no longer able to use its minimalist masks because ResMed UNWISELY made ALL its current full-face minimalist masks magnetized?? Get some brains, ResMed! You have alienated a significant segment of your magnet-sensitive customers! How about bringing back the Mirage Liberty - the excellent full-face minimalist mask you took off the market over a year ago which started this nightmare of our not being able to find any non-magnetized minimalist mask to equal it! Just do it!

As of August 13, 2024 it remains unavailable in Canada. Anyone know why? I’m sure there’s a lot of pent up demand. Resmed let’s get cracking here!

F40 was comfortable. But the leaks have been bad enough to disrupt sleep. Still trying to work with the F40; current Dreamware full face min contact

this new and all other new full masks are too small I have to use the Mirage Quattro hope they can soon launch one with more room for my mouth as I breathe with my mouth open at night and no room for my mouth with some of the "F masks"
Looks like a copy cat of the F & P Evora full face, only problem with the evora is the silicone digs into your cheeks
I had to go back to F30 because the F40 hurt under my nose. Loved it accept for that.
I hate those. Those nose pieces that stick up fit very few noses, especially large or wide noses.

I've used an F20 for a long time, no problems except that I suffer from "itchy-nose" syndrome. I've learned how to deal with it, can practically unhook my strap and scratch my nose in my sleep. But, this new mask sure looks like it would make life more simple to scratch my nose. I'd sure like to try it.
Hello, I have that same mask. Have you ever noticed mold in the elbow piece where the air comes out of?

I'm don't find that style of mask has worked for me in the past. I wonder if this one works better?
Being a heavy mouth breather, I use to use full face masks, and got absolutely annoyed with dry mouth.
I have since switched to a nasal mask using nasal pillows, they provide a great seal. Along with using a wide chin strap that fits under the jaw, and I am absolutely luving it.
No dry mouths, no having to top up humidity chambers in the middle of the night anymore. And have a way better sleep.

Can you breathe through your nose too? I'm still trying to solve the dry mouth mystery, changing masks, changing humidity levels, changing my sheets, underwear, pillows, I'll try anything!

I use the F30, like it a lot. My Doc gave me a F20 to try, its OK seemed a little noisy compared to the F30 and the air coming out of the vents had more pressure ... which is why it was noisy. But I did like the frame better than the F30. Couldn't use the F20 due to mouth leaks and I didn’t want to tape my mouth shut.
If this combines the benefits of the F30 with the F20 frane, it could be a winner for me.

i just got a cpap resmed 11 system with a f30i mask setup and love it.
i tested a N20, N30i and P30i but kept removing them in the night and had very bad time with them.
the only issue with my f30i was the air rushing past my ears lol but after 3 months of owning it i do not even notice it now.
this F40 seems interesting due to it being front airfed and not past the ears.
Resmed took amara view and replace the clips with magnets, its just a small elbow that clip off elephant tube when going bathroom. I wonder if the nose is more open style and not divided septum.
Its giving better version of Phillips Amara View and F + P Evora (better clips than Amara, but no quick access elbow)...No clips...only magnets...only quick access elbow...basically what people wanted. Easy use with a magnet which works for most people, and quick access elbow, and cheeks cushion a little not that hard cheek cardboard like F20.
The way the upper part is adjusted is like F20.
I looked it up on resmed - it got 3 sizes for headgear - small, standard and large - so thats better fit than 1 size fits most of Airfit 30 headgear.
Website dont show the nasal area, inside..if its like Airfit 30 in nose then..if you dont like f30, you will hate this..stick with f+p evora or dreamwear. However if mouth and undernose is same as evora - you got new customers!!
The inside nasal area under nose determine the type of nose fits best.
The way it fits on face the upper cusions determine type of face shape fits best . Different styles work better on oval face vs round vs square shape.
I'm wondering how well the flexible elbow diffuses air. Hopefully well...i don't want my mask blowing air directly into my partner's face.
Thanks for this Nic, after having a resmed product (i think s9?) for 10 years which i rarely used in the last 4-5 years, I got a resmed air mini (18months ago), which was fun but limiting, i upgraded to F&p sleep style, and the Solo Pillow Mask, only being using it a few weeks, great products, but found the headgear on the solo doesn't suit my head size (i have a physical disability which means my head is slightly different to normal) find i cant tighten it enough, but its working and i cant complain about it. i have thought what it might be like to go back to full head gear like that, so certainly looks interesting, thanks for sleephq as well ;) been using it for a week and interesting

Looks like ResMed copied the F&P Evora Full, which is a great mask. I recently got it at the suggestion of my CPAP vendor, because the F30 was leaking too much for me.
Magnets are a deal breaker for me and anyone with a pacemaker or programmable shunt for hydrocephalus. Why can't they use clips or velcro as fasteners?
Looks great,but why only with magnets? A lot of users out here with pacemakers can’t use it. BRILLIANT MOVE Resmed……
going with the full soft face cushion seems like a step in the right direction. Some masks still have some hard bits which makes it super uncomfortable to sleep on the side.

Looks like the upper straps will be farther from eyes, which is a definite improvement.
I would have liked to see the other side of the mask where the nose cradles.
It would be great if they had a humidx for it.

Thanks mate. I'm looking for one which will go under my chin since I obviously suffer from slack jaw syndrome. 🤣I found one which supports the chin but also covered the eyes. At one stage felt my eyes about to pop out under high pressure. I did try a head-strap but not quite my thing. Any chance you might know of one? Cheers and thanks.
I have the same problem and use the F30. I use generic KT tape cut into strips (8 strips per single KT strip) and put it on from under my nose to my jaw on one side. It doesn't tape the whole mouth shut and the elasticity of the KT tape pulls the jaw up. I've been pretty successful using it so far.
I get the Walmart brand, costs about $6.00 US and there's 20 pre cut strips so I get 169 of the smaller strips. One thing to note it matters how the strips are cut ... the KT tape only has elasticity one way, the long way.
I wonder if it’s going to be compatible with the Humidx system?

Any sugestions for a large or wide mouth full face mask, having issues with my checks being squeezed against my teeth and cannot go to sleep with any full face mask only a pillow or nasal.
Check out the Lowenstein Lena. It's not the prettiest girl at the pub but i've been doing some testing with some members over at SleepHQ.com and the seal is very impressive. Cheers
seal is indeed impressive with lena but it is not good fit for the people like me with tall roman nose. the wounds on the bridge of the nose where terrible in my case that i had to switch to f30. greetings from germany.@@CPAPReviews

You can make any mask fit the airmini with an adapter
