Horses do that whenever a companion horse is taken to go riding,go to the vet etc. they are herd animals that are not happy being left alone...it's not a tantrum but a fear that the other horse(s) will not return that causes them to race around and call for their companion(s)
We call this little horse our princess. She is so spoiled. She even comes in the house on occasion. She is a very confident little mare. As all of the comments here could be true, it makes me laugh because she is really likely mad because her friend was getting my attention instead of her. 🐴💕
The horse in the stall was rescued from a kill pen. She was much skinnier before she got here. The vet has been involved. We have other video that tell her story. Her name is Kymera. Thank you for your concern. ❤️🐴
What you are seeing that looks like swelling is actually loss of muscle tone down her rear. This horse was skin and bones when we got her. She has been treated with multiple courses of antibiotics because her bloodwork showed an elevated liver enzyme. After each course of antibiotics, she starts to gain weight and then seems to fall backwards again. When we had her first vet check done she still had baby teeth in her mouth. She was barely 3 when we got her from a Kill pen. We are giving her the best chance she has at life. She is an absolute sweetheart and we intend to do everything necessary to keep her healthy. When we are able to get her to gain weight, she then needs to go on an exercise program to regain the muscle that was lost. Each time we have done that she has slid backwards weight wise and needed another course of antibiotics. There is a lot more to the story than that. If you are interested, I will do a video specifically for her. We very much appreciate your concern and assure you that she is being well taken care of and is not in any pain.
Does this woman understand horses? Or is this just supposed to be a “funny” UA-cam video. That poor mini is seriously concerned at suddenly being alone without a herd mate for company. Either way it is sad how little many people bother to know about horse behavior. Sorry for the serious comment but the little mini feels it is serious.

Natural to have anxiety when the herd mate is removed. It is not a tantrum. Learn about the horse language (body language).
