When the hostages are finally freed I think Israel is going to be shocked when the truth gets told. That's the major obstacle in their release, some don't want that truth to be known. (HD)

Most of the remaining hostages are the kind that believe in a two state solution

What are you talking about? What is this truth?

This is all much simpler than people try to make it out. The government is in charge of the safety of the entire nation. The parents of the hostages are mostly concerned about the hostages. Hamas is trying to leverage the hostages to get Israel to compromise its security. These kind of tensions would exit in every nation in the same situation. It's not Netanyahu or the "extreme right" that are the issue here, it's Hamas and the impossible choice they are trying to force on Israel. Sadly the fate of the hostages was sealed by Hamas more or less when they were kidnapped.

      Care to explain the following:
      1. What security risks does a hostage deal pose to Israel?
      2. Is Israel accountable in any way? Or is the blame 100% on Hamas?

@@alextabet9247 1) the "resistance" demand the return of full blown murderers and those are not known for going back to leading a normal life
2)no matter how much evidence you have to blame hamas, they don't have the sovereignty to be held accountable so they pay with their lives as did their leaders in and outside of Israel

the utilitarian view isn't more important than the jewish value of redeeming prisoners. why do the religious parties in the government not push this value hard? oh, maybe they're too busy keeping their kids out of army service...

How can Israel agree to such a deal?Did all Israeli soldiers die for nothing? How can Israel give in to a trade off that would place Israel's citizens in danger of the next October 7.God is in charge.God bless Israel.Shalom

What about all the civilians killed by Israel if you include those dying from lack of food, water and medicine then one in ten of all Gazans are now dead. The Israeli soldiers are now openly talking about disobeying orders because as they say burning homes is genocide. Israeli soldiers are now frightened to travel abroad due to fear of being charged with war crimes. The Israeli government either agrees to a ceasefire or it will end up being seen as a genocidal state. The problem is Israel has never wanted peace otherwise why does it assassinate the negotiators. The UK didn't assassinate IRA leaders and by doing that we now have peace there. If Israel has any desire for peace it will see sense and make peace the as the world wants peace!!

You can have some comments about the state of Israel, but not entirely, these are lands that used to belong to Israel, so the state of Israel can refer to this and this is already debatable. The second issue is the very small distance in kilometers of the state of Israel. Israel is a very, very small state, there shouldn't be so many fierce fights about practically nothing. This is "MIND-BLOWING" because there is such a fierce fight about almost nothing (???). I would understand if it was as big a distance as France, but it isn't. Here, however, we should refer to a certain issue from the psychiatry section with a connection to spirituality issues in the wrong understanding. There are clearly errors in the mental health section here. The fact that someone leads a spiritual life and doesn't care about their mental health is already a problem. God is not happy that someone prays and doesn't get psychiatric treatment. A058
